Nice little place to stop for a walk and watch the canal boats make their way through the locks. Fascinating to think how old they are. There's a little cafe here too, but was closed when we visited.
A sight well worth seeing with a good cafe at the top and only a short walk to another 3 locks. Liked it so much we stayed for over an hour to watch a boat go up.
Lovely relaxing afternoon out .you can walk miles either way if you want very scenic I've been several times the cafe is wonderful highly recommend

Bingley Five Rise Locks, a good place to visit. Realising that the entire canal (Leeds to Liverpool) and locks were all dug/built by hand is quite unbelievable.
Called in to have a look stayed there over 4 hours got to see a boat come up the 5 locks and 2 going down also had a walk along the canal it's a lovely place to go and interesting to watch the locks working had lunch aswell which was also lovely
