Quick Facts About Cafe Coast Porth
Cafe Coast Porth has several strengths based on the comments provided. One of its biggest strengths is its excellent location near the beach, allowing customers to have a short 2-minute walk to the beach. This is a major advantage for customers looking for a convenient place to grab food and drinks while enjoying a day at the beach. The views of Porth beach from the cafe are highly praised, adding to the appeal of the location.
The cafe is also known for its great selection of sandwiches, cakes, teas, and coffee. Customers appreciate the variety and quality of the food and beverages offered. The lunch menu, in particular, is mentioned as being good, with special highlights like chips in a bucket that are popular with kids.
Moreover, the staff at Cafe Coast Porth are described as super friendly and helpful. Customers appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. It is mentioned that the staff even provided a box to carry purchased food back to the beach, which adds to the positive experience and customer service.
Additionally, the cafe offers outdoor seating with views of the beach. Customers enjoyed sitting outside and being able to see the beach and sea while enjoying their food and drinks. The presence of beach toys, buckets, spades, and even a playhouse for children to play with adds to the family-friendly atmosphere of the cafe.
On the other hand, the cafe has some weaknesses that were mentioned in the comments. One weakness is that the website gives a different impression of the menu compared to what is actually served. For example, the website indicated that a full English breakfast is served, but in reality, only breakfast sandwiches like egg and sausage are available. While the food is still tasty, this could lead to disappointment for customers expecting a full breakfast.
Another weakness highlighted is the weak tea served at the cafe. While this may be a matter of personal preference, the comment suggests that the tea is not strong enough for those who prefer a stronger brew. The issue could potentially be resolved if customers request for the tea bag to be left in longer.
A negative experience was mentioned by a customer who ordered simple chips and cheese, which were described as frozen packet chips that were not cooked properly and grated packet cheese. This suggests a lack of quality in terms of the ingredients used for this particular item. The customer felt that they had better chips from a takeaway at a lower cost, which highlights a potential area for improvement.
There is also a comment expressing disappointment in the food and claiming that although the cafe has potential, it falls short in delivering a satisfying culinary experience. This comment suggests that the food quality at Cafe Coast Porth did not live up to expectations.
In conclusion, Cafe Coast Porth has several strengths, such as its excellent beachside location, friendly staff, good selection of food and beverages, and family-friendly atmosphere. However, the cafe has some weaknesses, including discrepancies between the website menu and the actual offerings, weak tea, and some quality issues with certain food items. Despite these weaknesses, the cafe has the potential to be a great establishment if improvements are made to address these concerns.

Excellent location to the beach so you only have a 2 minute walk at the most. Great selection of sandwiches cakes etc and teas coffee. Staff super friendly and helpful, was even given a box to carry my loot back to the hungry family on the beach. Adds to the uniqueness of this small bit hidden gem just off the beach.

Really enjoyed the food, although the website gave a different impression to what was actually served - in particular it looked like it served full English breakfast, when in reality it was more breakfast sandwiches (e.g. egg and sausage). Still tasty but different to what we expected. Super convenient location with a great view of the beach. Lunch menu is good - chips in a bucket was a hit with the kids. The staff were friendly and chatty. Peak holiday times it is unsurprisingly busy - be prepared to queue.
We paused here for a coffee and ice cream. Lovely views, friendly staff and good food.
Lovely little place, great views onto Porth beach (which is fantastic)
Very friendly, only got 4 stars because tea was very weak, ok if that's the way you like it I'll ask them to leave the bag in next time
Lovely place over looking the beach. Great friendly service. Rain or shine. Has beach toys buckets and spades and other little things. Bucket of building bricks and play house my boys love it.
A must when visiting Porth Beach . Lovely outdoor seating area where you can watch the goings on on the beach & sea. Free public loos just around the corner. Free parking on beach after @ 4pm depending on season
Called in for just simple chips & cheese frozen packet chips that where rock hard not cooked at all properly and grated packet cheese. I have had better chips from a takeaway on a night out and didn't cost half way near as much.
This place has so much potential to be something brilliant but if they can't get the simple things right then why bother at all, it is in a prime location but the food was such a dissapointment.
Homemade chips and localy produced cheese are the way forward.
