Excellent café hidden in plain sight in Leamington.
Breakfasts are generously portioned, and a good price considering the quality of the ingredients. Sausages are a particular highlight, and the bacon is good too.
The atmosphere is nice in there, with nice lighting and decent decoration. Toilet facilities are excellent (and amusingly named).
Well worth a visit.
Used to come here all the time before COVID. Staff were so friendly! Small cafe but really cosy and has an upstairs with a nice view.
Lovely spot to eat after shopping!
I was treated to breakfast by my one and only and it didn't dissapoint. The menu has many choices which I found impressive. I went for the Vegan option as I can't handle eggs anymore, it was super tasty and enjoyable. Had a luscious mocha to go with it. Bang On this was!
I found this place when looking for a brunch spot whilst staying in Leamington. From the service, to the food selection, to the general atmosphere within the place, this was one of the most pleasant meals I have ever had. So much so that I came back the next day! Don’t hesitate to visit if looking for food in Leamington!
Haven't been here in a while and I wasn't disappointed with the revisit. Clean & tidy, great helpful staff, wide varied menu & fantastic food and drink. Great start to my day, definitely recommend if you are in the area. Some great homemade cakes too, Victoria Sponge & Coffee Cake yum.
Great menu and whilst not the cheapest, they were competitive to all the cafes in this part of town. What they do have is a lot of choice, and lots of vegetarian options as well as meals I've not seen on other menus.
Service was very good and the waitress was friendly and warned us of a 30m delay due to the cafe being pretty much full. Food came before 30m had passed so that was a bonus.
Nice interior which contributed to the atmosphere. Cushions on the seats and we felt very comfortable, and not rushed. We were also brought some activity pages and crayons for the children whilst we waited.
Food was very good. I had the crumpets with cheese, garlic mushrooms, spinach and bechemel sauce. Great idea and very tasty. If I could ask for anything else, it would be for some more spinach ????. We also had the soup of the day which was tomato and basil. This came with a warm white baguette half, croutons on the side as well as rocket. The whole dish looked lovely and tasted very good.
Definitely would visit again if we were in the area.
Oh yes, the kids hot chocolate was frowned on until it arrived. It is a really good size for the price and would put Costa et al to shame ????.
19th Sept 2019:
I went in for breakfast today and was told that they no longer take food orders at the table, you have to come to the till to place your order.
I also noticed a reduction in staff since my last visit.
Presumably the order placing at the till is because they have shed staff to save on wages. They used to get slammed in the first 60 minutes when they opened, but it was barely a trickle today.
Note to owners: if you screw with a winning formula just to make an extra buck, it may not be long before you are not making anything at all.
It also seems from recent reviews as if their staff have forgotten what customer service is.
Try Savi's in Regent Street who open an hour earlier and are better value.
One of my favourite places for breakfast/brunch. Brilliant menu; classics (full English), modern breakfasts and a make your own sandwich which never disappoints. Been with my girlfriend a lot and we both love it, I've even been in on my own for cake and tea before!
Would thoroughly recommend it, I usually get the Fat Birds Breakfast but do sometimes push the boat out! They also have a delightful selection of cakes to eat in or take away - I'm a fan!
