Quick Facts About Ho Lee Chow

Ho Lee Chow Place, based on the comments provided, has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. The first strength is its welcoming, friendly, and efficient service. Customers consistently praise the staff for their attentiveness and helpfulness. This is a crucial aspect of any restaurant as it can significantly enhance the dining experience.
Another strength of Ho Lee Chow Place is the excellent value for money in terms of the food. Customers mention that the food is cooked perfectly and the flavors are amazing. The restaurant seems to offer a wide range of options, as there is plenty of choice for both food and drink. This is important as it caters to different preferences and dietary restrictions.
Furthermore, the presentation of the food is noted to have professional finishing touches, making the dining experience special. This attention to detail shows that the restaurant takes pride in its dishes and strives to provide a visually appealing experience. Additionally, the cocktails are mentioned to be a treat, indicating that the beverage menu is of high quality.
Ho Lee Chow Place's ability to cater for larger parties, as mentioned by customers who celebrated their sons' and daughters' birthdays there, is another strength. Being able to accommodate big groups is an important aspect for special occasions, and the fact that customers had positive experiences during their celebrations is a testament to the restaurant's competence in this area.
Lastly, Ho Lee Chow Place is described as a well-run family business. This statement suggests that the restaurant is managed efficiently and professionally, which contributes to its overall quality.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses mentioned by customers. One weakness is the dated interior design. Although the comments do not indicate specific issues with the decor, they suggest that it may be in need of an update. This could potentially affect the overall ambience and impression of the restaurant.
Additionally, a customer mentioned that the service was poor. Their request for a specific modification to their soup was denied, and the alternative soup they received was not to their liking. Furthermore, the handling of their sister's birthday cake was not up to their expectations. These incidents suggest some inconsistencies in the service quality of the restaurant, which could be a weakness.
Another weakness mentioned is the perceived overpricing of the food. A customer states that the menu is "totally standard Anglo-Chinese" and believes that the cost of £30 per person is high relative to the quality received. This perception of overpricing could potentially deter some potential customers.
Despite these weaknesses, the overall impression of Ho Lee Chow Place is positive. It receives praise for its food, service, atmosphere, and authenticity. However, it is important for the restaurant to address the weaknesses mentioned by customers to ensure a consistently excellent dining experience.

As always... very welcoming, friendly and efficient service. Food : Excellent value for money. Presentation: professional finishing touches that make your dining experience special. Drinks: good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages but the cocktails are a treat. Special occasions: excellent for catering for larger parties. We had our sons 21st and daughters 18th birthday meals there.
Overall: would highly recommend for any occasion. A well run family business. Jane & Pete (Liverpool)
Amazing food, fantastic staff, great service and an awesome atmosphere, can't recommend enough
I went with my lovely husband and had a banquet, the food is amazing and one of my favourite restaurants to go. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors are amazing. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, we are looking forward to going back again.
Ok - the interior is a bit dated but the food is not. This restaurant has been open for many years and for good reason - the food is really good. The staff are attentive and friendly and there is a good feel of space between the tables. Business meeting, date or friends night out - this is a good choice. Watch out for the dragon dishes - the chilli is super hot.
Would not recommend! restaurant was cold service was poor I asked for chicken & sweet corn soup with no egg as I’m allergic the manger said she couldn’t do that even though every other Chinese restaurant I’ve been too has always done it for me instead I had veg soup which was vile it was basically carrots & some letters in hot water. Are main course the meat was like jelly,After are meal we had a birthday cake for my sister & normally the staff cut the cake up but instead they just put it in-front of her with a knife for her to cut it I just felt the service was poor.
Superb food, friendly and efficient staff, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended
Extremely helpful, friendly and diligent serving staff. Overdone decor. Extremely overpriced considering what you get. Totally standard Anglo-Chinese menu at average £30 a head for the food. Hot fat and MSG. All mains cheap meat in gloopy sauce. Back Street takeaway served on plates. Once plenty, esp as I already paid for twice. A few reviews say this is the best Chinese in Southport. That's a lot like being the tallest dwarf.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was hot and of good quality. Plenty of choice for both food and drink. Interior design very authentic, so don't be put off by somewhat worn looking exterior
