Quick Facts About Lento Cafe & Bar
to this cafe every time we're in the area. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent. It's a lovely local cafe that has a cosy vibe and a wide variety of food options. The omelette I had was delicious and very reasonably priced. They also offer a great full English breakfast that is always hot and freshly cooked. The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to chain cafes in the area. The owner, Nassar Hussain, is friendly and welcoming, and even famous cricket player Nassar Hussain visits the cafe for breakfast. It's also conveniently located near the cricket ground, making it a great spot for cricket fans.
One of the biggest strengths of this cafe is its commitment to being dementia friendly. The helpful and attentive service provided by the staff makes it a welcoming place for those with dementia. This inclusivity is commendable and sets the cafe apart from others in the area.
However, not all experiences at the cafe have been positive. One customer mentioned that on a busy Sunday morning, the service was appalling. The staff frequently went outside to smoke, leaving the customers waiting. The food was also served slowly, with one person's order arriving before another's. Additionally, the coffee was described as small and cold. This negative experience may have been an isolated incident, but it is worth noting as a weakness of the cafe.
On another note, the cafe recently started offering Vietnamese food in the evenings, and according to one customer, it was delicious and authentic. This shows that the cafe is open to experimenting with new cuisines and providing diverse options for its customers. The fact that the customer highly recommends the Vietnamese food is a testament to the quality of the dishes and the service provided.
Overall, Lento Cafe & Bar has many strengths. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and they offer a wide variety of options, including Vietnamese cuisine. The commitment to being dementia friendly is also commendable. However, there have been instances of poor service and cold coffee, indicating some areas for improvement. Despite this, the positive experiences outweigh the negatives, and many customers express their desire to return to the cafe in the future.

Second visit and definitely won't be the last. Great food cooked fresh and with a smile. Can't fault it at all :) ten out of ten.
We called on a busy Sunday morning, the cricket was on in Headingley. The service was appalling. The staff came outside to smoke frequently while we were sat there. The food was served slowly with my friend's arriving first and us having to chase mine. Then it was not my order and it wasn't busy inside. Oh and the coffee was small and cold. Never again!
We went to try the vietnamese food they now do in the evenings, couldn’t recommend more! Such good value and the food was so authentic and delicious. The service was great!
Great place, good prices and amazing service! We’ll come back
