Quick Facts About Royal Grill & Sweets
Royal Grill & Sweets place, based on the comments provided, seems to have a number of strengths and weaknesses. In analyzing these comments, it is important to consider the overall impression of the restaurant and the consistency of the issues mentioned.
Starting with the strengths, one comment mentioned that the whole peri peri chicken with fries was amazing. This suggests that there are some dishes on the menu that are well-prepared and enjoyable. Another comment praised the quick and efficient service, indicating that the staff are attentive and responsive to customers' needs. Additionally, the comment noted that the prices are fair for what you get, suggesting that the restaurant offers value for money.
However, the weaknesses of Royal Grill & Sweets place outweigh the strengths, as suggested by multiple negative comments. Firstly, a recurring issue is the quality of the food. Several comments mentioned that the food was subpar, bland, and disappointing. One person even stated that the beef burger tasted like lemon and was overcooked, while the chicken burger had no taste. This suggests a lack of consistency in the taste and preparation of the food, which is crucial for a restaurant's success.
Portion sizes were also a common complaint, with multiple comments mentioning that the portions were small. One person specifically stated that they felt like they were served scraps of kebab meat. This indicates that customers are not receiving value for money in terms of portion sizes.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the lack of cleanliness. One comment sarcastically noted that the restaurant must have exceptional filthiness to achieve a 1-star hygiene rating. This raises concerns about the overall cleanliness and hygiene practices of the establishment, which is a major factor in customer satisfaction and health.
Another weakness that emerged from the comments is the inconsistency in customer service. While one comment praised the staff for being friendly and efficient, another comment mentioned that no one interacted with them when they walked in and they had to do most things themselves. This suggests a lack of consistency in the level of customer service provided, which can have a negative impact on the overall dining experience.
Additionally, several comments mentioned specific issues with certain dishes. One person mentioned that the wings were not spicy despite being advertised as such, and they felt the price of £7.99 for just six wings and chips was absurd. Another comment mentioned that the burgers were smothered in an overwhelming amount of sauces, suggesting a lack of balance and attention to detail in the kitchen.
Furthermore, there was a consistent complaint about the food not being fresh. One comment mentioned that they highly doubt the food was fresh and that the portions were the smallest they have ever received. Another comment mentioned a smell coming from a burger meal, which had to be wasted, indicating potential issues with food storage and handling.
Overall, the strengths of Royal Grill & Sweets place include some positive feedback on specific dishes, quick service, and fair prices. However, the weaknesses identified include subpar and bland food, small portion sizes, cleanliness issues, inconsistency in customer service, and potential freshness concerns. These weaknesses suggest that the restaurant has room for improvement in various areas to provide a more enjoyable and satisfying dining experience.

Food was subpar and not worth the price. The order was for a family Iftar and cost over £40. About 5mins after placing an order I received quite a forceful phone call from the restaurant informing me they would take no responsibility whatsoever in the event the food came late. The donner was plain and had an odd pale tinge. Wings were bland and not spicy at all, absurd to charge £7.99 for just 6 plain wings and chips. Paradoxically, the burgers were smothered in an overwhelming amount of sauces. I have to say I expected more of a premium product from an establishment called “Royals”, overall a very mediocre experience. I’m impressed that they have somehow managed 1 star on hygiene, that must require exceptional filthiness.
Really nice food and the toilet looks like a warzone.
Spent £20 on two kebabs, definitely wouldn’t recommend. Portions are very small. The kebab meet was all shredded as if they served us scraps, very bland and disappointing
I spent over £40 pounds on food for a small gathering, and the food was just very bland. Nobody enjoyed it. The beef burger tasted like lemon and was very over cooked and chicken burger had no taste.
I wouldn’t even give it a one star….
The quality of the food was terrible, as in you would get the smallest portion, I highly doubt it was fresh. No-one interacts with you when you walk in so expect to do most things yourself. There was a smell coming from the burger meal that we had purchased to which we had to waste, which was a shame as everyone was hungry. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant/ takeaway at all. Avoid
honestly the only thing worth ordering here is the whole peri peri chicken with fries which is amazing , otherwise everything else is either precooked from when is anyones guess.
The spicy rice was taken out of the fridge and microwaved was plain and dry.
Burgers were not good at all. Chips were undercooked. Only postive was it arrived quick.
Incredible food, very friendly, quick and efficient service. Food is great, tasty and freshly made in front of you. Prices are ridiculously fair for what you get. One of the top spots in Bedford.
