Quick Facts About Sakoon Cafe
Sakoon Cafe has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the food is highly recommended, with comments praising the taste and quality of the dishes. The lamb chops were specifically mentioned as being cooked to perfection and very tasty. The grilled chicken with rice was also deemed decent, highlighting the overall quality of the food. Additionally, the lentil soup and cheeseburger were reviewed positively, with compliments for their flavor and freshness. The portion sizes were also mentioned as being generous, providing filling meals.
Another strength of Sakoon Cafe is the friendly staff and clean facilities. Customers appreciated the helpfulness and welcoming nature of the staff members. The cleanliness of the toilets was also noted, indicating that the cafe maintains a good level of hygiene.
The affordability of the food at Sakoon Cafe is also seen as a strength. Customers commented on the great prices, with one person mentioning that the value for money was excellent. This makes Sakoon Cafe an attractive option, especially when compared to other fast-food chains like McDonald's.
The ambiance of Sakoon Cafe received positive feedback as well. One customer rated it 8 out of 10, suggesting a pleasant atmosphere. This indicates that the cafe provides a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.
In terms of weaknesses, there were a few negative comments regarding specific dishes. One customer mentioned that the yellow rice served with the grilled chicken was too sweet, which they personally did not like. However, they acknowledged that others might enjoy the sweetness. This inconsistency in taste preferences could be a downside for some customers.
There were also several complaints regarding changes in the food quality. One customer noted that the portions for the lamb qasi had become smaller. Additionally, the potato stew served with it was described as excessively salty, rendering it inedible. Another customer mentioned that the mixed kebab consisted mostly of dry chicken, with only a small portion of dry lamb. This suggests a potential decline in the quality and consistency of the dishes at Sakoon Cafe.
Furthermore, there were multiple complaints about the chips not being properly cooked. Customers described them as soggy and undercooked, which detracted from their overall enjoyment of the meal. Another concern was the presence of a sweet and spicy sauce on the roast chicken, which was considered out of place in a Middle Eastern cafe.
One of the comments expressed disappointment and frustration with Sakoon Cafe, stating that they had given up after several letdowns. This suggests a lack of consistency in meeting customer expectations and could be considered a weakness.
In conclusion, Sakoon Cafe has several strengths, such as delicious food, friendly staff, clean facilities, affordability, and a pleasant ambiance. However, there are also weaknesses, including inconsistency in food quality, smaller portions, excessively salty dishes, undercooked chips, and a lack of consistency in meeting customer expectations. These weaknesses should be addressed in order for Sakoon Cafe to maintain its reputation and keep customers satisfied.

Highly recommend Sakoon. Really good food at a great price. Ordered the lamb chops. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. Food was served quick also enjoyed the lentil soup.
I ordered grilled chicken with rice. Food is decent, the yellow rice were a little sweet which I personally don’t like, others may like them. The staff are very friendly and the toilets are very clean to use.
Lovely little hideaway on lodge lane, had a lovely jacket potato with chicken and salad, although the salad had mint sauce with it, I'm not a huge fan but I didn't ask so that was my fault, just need to check this out for yourselves!!
Ordered a cheeseburger with salad and special sauce. The order came with a good sized portion of chips too which was unexpected.
The cheeseburger was a good size and tasted delicious, special sauce had a slightly spicy taste to it but not hot in the mouth and the salad was fresh.
The order came to £6.50, was filling, excellent quality and would recommend over a McDonald's any day.
Sakoon used to be our favourite takeaway for many years. Unfortunately there has been a lot of changes made to the food. The portions particularly for the lamb qasi are smaller. The potato stew that comes with it was so salty it was not edible.
We ordered the mixed kebab today and it was 90% very dry chicken and 10% dry lamb. Photo attached.
The chips are never properly cooked anymore. Soggy white things, they're awful. The worst part of it all is we tell them to fry them for longer, burn it if you will but no - still uncooked chips.
The roast chicken also has some weird sweet spicy sauce put on it at the end. Almost like a jamaican jerk chicken. Why? It's a middle eastern cafe.
Anyway today we gave up after so many let downs from Sakoon. The old Sakoon will be missed.
