Quick Facts About Samuel Valentine Urban Food Hall
Samuel Valentine Urban Food Hall has its strengths and weaknesses, as highlighted in the comments above. I will elaborate on each aspect to provide a comprehensive analysis.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring positive aspect mentioned in the comments is the quality of the food. Customers stated that the quiche, Yorkshire Breakfast, beef sandwich, and cheesecake were all delicious. This indicates that the establishment takes pride in using top-quality produce and preparing dishes to a high standard. The fact that multiple customers mentioned the food in a positive light suggests consistency in the kitchen's performance.
Furthermore, the service at Samuel Valentine Urban Food Hall seems to be a strength of the establishment. The staff were described as super friendly, obliging, and really friendly. Despite being busy, they were able to provide efficient service and make customers feel welcomed. This commendation of the staff reflects positively on the management's ability to hire and train personnel who excel in customer service.
Additionally, the value for money at Samuel Valentine Urban Food Hall appears to be satisfactory. Customers mentioned the price as great, reasonably priced, and at a great price for the quality of food offered. Offering quality food at an affordable price can attract customers and contribute to their satisfaction.
The atmosphere of the place also received positive reviews. Customers perceived a lovely family feel and a great atmosphere. This indicates that the environment created by the establishment is comfortable and conducive to a pleasant dining experience. A welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere can contribute to repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common complaint is the lack of ventilation in the establishment. Customers mentioned that the kitchen fumes and smells tend to linger, resulting in customers leaving the Food Hall smelling like a greasy café. This is a valid concern as unpleasant smells can negatively affect the overall dining experience and discourage potential customers. Addressing this issue and improving the ventilation system should be a priority for the management.
Another criticism is related to the deli selection. One customer described it as being comparable to bottom-shelf supermarket products, specifically mentioning Echo Falls wine and Carling beer. This suggests that the quality and variety of items in the deli section may not meet expectations. Improving the deli selection by offering higher quality and more unique products could enhance the overall dining experience and attract more customers to enjoy the deli offerings.
In conclusion, Samuel Valentine Urban Food Hall has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. These strengths include delicious food, friendly service, reasonable prices, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, there are also areas that require improvement, such as ventilation to eliminate kitchen smells and enhancing the deli selection to offer a wider range of high-quality products. By addressing these weaknesses, the establishment can further elevate its dining experience and attract more satisfied customers.

We had a wonderful time in Samuel Valentines. A welcome stop on our walk from St Aidens RSPB and back. The staff were super friendly even though they were very busy. They said food might be a long wait but we were eating within 25 minutes and it was beautiful. The best quiche I've ever had. It was goat's cheese and fig. We will definitely be going again.
Needs more ventilation, come out smelling like a greasy cafe which is a shame because the food and service is great. Been coming here for a while but the kitchen fog and smell left on your clothes let’s it down. Food is always great though, just need to sort the kitchen smells out
Haven’t been to SV since pre-COVID and was pleased to see it’s still going strong. Called in for breakfast late morning and enjoyed a Yorkshire Breakfast, my wife had the famous breakfast wrap. As I didn’t want the black pudding, I got an extra sausage instead! Top quality produce used, friendly staff, at a great price. Will be back for lunch, or afternoon tea next time; the tapas evenings sound interesting too.
Called in with friends after a long walk. What a great find! The food was delicious. I had the beef sandwich with roast potatoes. Itwas the best beef sandwich I've ever had. Great friendly service and atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Can't really understand the fuss for this place. The building is nice but it is very smelly. Ventilation is poor, deep fat fryer smell gets in your clothes. Cafe food is good, but the deli selection is bottom shelf supermarket- echo falls wine, carling and other equally terrible foodstuffs.
Lovely place. Butchersa d cheese us lovely cafe. Great gluten free cheesecake
Been here three times for afternoon tea and each time the food and service has been excellent. Reasonably priced, will definitely visit again.
Had breakfast there for 5 adults and 2 children this morning. The food was absolutely beautiful, so well cooked and the produce was excellent quality. The staff were all so obliging and really friendly. There is a lovely family feel to the place and I would highly recommend it.
