Quick Facts About Station Cafe

Station Cafe has garnered a range of positive comments, showcasing several strengths that make it an appealing dining option. One of the main strengths mentioned is the cafe's good traditional breakfast, which is highlighted as a must-try. Additionally, the option to have chips with the breakfast is appreciated by customers, as it adds a unique touch to the meal. The value for money aspect is also highly praised, with customers noting that the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. This is seen as a strength, as it makes Station Cafe an affordable and accessible option for many people.
The cleanliness of the cafe is another strength that is frequently mentioned. Customers note that the cafe is impeccably clean, which gives them confidence in the hygiene standards of the establishment. This is an important factor when it comes to choosing a place to eat, as customers want to feel comfortable and confident in the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area. The fact that Station Cafe is family-owned and operated is seen as a positive attribute by customers, as it adds a personal touch to the dining experience. The friendly service provided by the staff is also mentioned as a strength, as it enhances the overall experience for customers.
Another strength of Station Cafe is the quick service and fast food delivery. Customers appreciate that their orders are cooked and served promptly, which is particularly important for those who are on a tight schedule or catching a train from the nearby station. The availability of a quick meal option is seen as a convenient feature, as it saves time for customers who are in a rush.
While there are several strengths associated with Station Cafe, there are a few weaknesses that have been mentioned in the comments. One customer noted that their steak was not cooked to the desired level of doneness, being closer to rare rather than medium rare. While they still enjoyed the meal, this inconsistency in the cooking could be seen as a weakness, as it indicates a lack of precision in the kitchen. The customer also mentioned that they did not bring up the issue with the kitchen, which suggests a lack of proactive problem-solving on the part of the staff.
Another weakness mentioned is the seasoning of the cheeseburger. According to one comment, the burger could have been better seasoned, which affected the overall taste. Additionally, the choice of a ciabatta bun for the burger was seen as a weakness, as it was described as tough and made the burger slightly difficult to eat. These weaknesses in the preparation and presentation of the food could potentially affect the overall dining experience and customer satisfaction.
Despite these weaknesses, it is worth noting that customers are still willing to give Station Cafe another chance. One customer mentioned that their second visit didn't live up to the memories of their previous visit but stated that it wouldn't deter them from returning. This suggests that while there may be some inconsistencies in the food and service, the overall experience is still positive enough to warrant a second visit.
In conclusion, Station Cafe has several strengths that make it an appealing dining option for customers. These strengths include a good traditional breakfast, value for money, cleanliness, friendly service, family ownership, and quick service. However, there are also a few weaknesses mentioned, such as inconsistencies in the cooking and seasoning of certain dishes. Despite these weaknesses, customers seem willing to give Station Cafe another chance, indicating that the overall experience is positive enough to outweigh these shortcomings.

Good traditional breakfast with chips as an option! Good value and handy right by the train station.
Great value, everything you expect of a proper old school greasy spoon café (impeccably clean though) friendly service. Family owned and food came out quickly. These places are dying out make sure you support them.
Absolutely wonderful service, food, and people. Definitely a must stop on your visit to Brighton. Checking out The Coppa Club will definitely Brighton your day.
I had a great meal here a couple of years back and had always planned to visit again. However, the second time ended up being a bit of a disappointment. I ordered a cheeseburger and my partner a steak. The steak was meant to be medium rare but was much closer to cooked rare. Whilst it was still enjoyed it wasn’t quite as ordered. We were in a hurry so didn’t flag with the kitchen but would certainly order a medium if returning.
My cheeseburger was ok but could have been better seasoned. Also it came in a ciabatta bun which was quite tough and made the burger slightly difficult to eat.
It didn’t live up to my memories of my previous visit but probably wouldn’t put me off going again.
Recent discovery. Eggs cooked perfect. Well presented and the coffee was good too. Will definitely return soon
The food is cooked to order so is always fresh, very well cooked food, clean, warm very pleasant staff, excellent service recommend
I can honestly say I have never had a bad breakfast here . I couldn’t believe the breakfast you got for just £5.50 the price has gone up to £8 now but it is still so worth it .
