Quick Facts About 129 Coffee Shop
The 129 Coffee Shop has garnered mostly positive reviews from its customers, with many praising its food, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere. However, there are a few comments that raise concerns about the temperature of the food and the customer service, which may be indicative of weaknesses in the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, many customers commend the food at 129 Coffee Shop. One customer describes it as a "gem of a place" and praises the Whopper scone, which is made with leek and bacon and is described as "cheesy". Another customer enjoyed the New Yorker sandwich, lauding its taste, generous fillings, and perfectly toasted bread. The menu is also noted to be reasonably priced, with customers expressing satisfaction with the food and coffee offerings. The presence of various hot and cold drink options, including Earl Grey tea and an Oat milk Latte, is also appreciated. Furthermore, the range of home-baked cakes and scones are mentioned positively, with customers highlighting their quality and variety.
The friendly and welcoming staff is another strength of the coffee shop. Multiple customers remark on the staff's friendliness and helpfulness, and one customer even refers to the employees as "fantastic girls." The warm and cozy ambiance of the premises is also appreciated, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
However, there are a few areas of weakness that can be identified from the comments. One comment suggests that the food may sometimes be served lukewarm. The customer had ordered two English breakfasts that arrived lukewarm, which was disappointing considering the quality of the ingredients. This inconsistency in temperature could be seen as a weakness, as it detracts from the overall dining experience.
Another weakness that is hinted at is the customer service. While most customers have positive experiences with the staff, one customer had an encounter that left them dissatisfied. After expressing their disappointment with the lukewarm food, they were met with a seemingly dismissive response from the waitress during the payment process. This lack of appropriate resolution or apology may indicate a misstep in customer service standards, which could be a potential weakness for the coffee shop.
In conclusion, the 129 Coffee Shop has an array of strengths that make it an attractive place to visit. Its food, including items like the Whopper scone and New Yorker sandwich, is well-regarded, and its staff is frequently praised for being friendly and helpful. The coffee shop also creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. However, there are some weaknesses that may detract from the overall experience. Customers have mentioned that the food can sometimes be served lukewarm, which affects the taste and enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, there was a comment about a disappointing customer service encounter, suggesting that improvements in this area could enhance the overall experience for customers.

This is a gem of a place on Park View.
The Whopper scone had leek and bacon and was so cheesy!
I had the New Yorker which was so tasty, full of cheese, pastrami, gherkins and sauce. The bread was toasted to perfection and it came with a few crisps and a side salad.
Reasonably priced, with food coffee and the staff were lovely.

We had Earl grey tea and an Oat milk Latte. Both good and hot. We also tried the cheese scones. Very nice.

It's turning to early evening and I wanted a coffee and a piece of home baked cake. On Park View is 129 Coffee Shop. Owned and run by a dedicated team of friendly staff. I chose a Caffetaire of Coffee and a slice of Coffee Cake. The Coffee was perfect as was the cake. Thoroughly recommend 129 to a busy shopper.

Great affordable quality food fantastic girls who work there.
Been to this coffee shop plenty of times before and the food has always been good. Think this place might have changed hands. Ordered two English breakfasts and when they came they were lukewarm, which was a shame as they looked like quality ingredients. Went up to pay and the waitress asked if everything was ok and I said no not really, the food was lukewarm, she said Sorry about that, that’ll be £15.00 please. Sorry but we won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
