The menu seems to offer a variety of options, including chicken shawarma, mixed shish kebab, and wings, which have all received positive feedback. Additionally, customers appreciate the budget-friendly prices, making it an attractive option for those looking for affordable Mediterranean cuisine.

This can create a negative experience for customers who expect a warm and friendly welcome when dining out. Additionally, the comment states that the owners reject any suggestions for adjustments to a dish, which can be frustrating for customers with specific dietary requirements or preferences.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of payment options. One comment states that the restaurant does not offer card payment, which may be inconvenient for those who prefer to pay with card or do not carry cash. This can lead to a loss of potential customers who are discouraged by the limited payment options.
Another issue mentioned is the need for new management and a revamp. This suggests that there are underlying problems with the current management or operational aspects of the restaurant that need improvement. The comment also mentions that other customers have complained about bad service and price confusions, indicating that these are recurring issues that should be addressed.
In conclusion, Amal Restaurant has several strengths such as its great Mediterranean food, clean and hygienic environment, and budget-friendly prices. However, there are weaknesses in terms of unwelcoming owners, limited payment options, and issues with service and pricing. These weaknesses could potentially harm the reputation of the restaurant and should be considered for improvement.

Best TL Reviews

One of the best Mediterranean restaurant in the neighborhood. Clean and hygienic. Decent atmosphere inside for dining in. Food is extremely fresh and tasty. Very budget friendly too.
Food here is great, and the decor has a Moroccan feel, however when dining in, the (husband and wife) owners do not acknowledge the customers, and are not accommodating, and make you feel unwelcome, and offer no card payment.
The owners are abrupt, and have no regard for a customers needs, and reject any suggestions for adjustments to a dish. Needs new management and a revamp. The waiters and cook, however are really warm, and are the ONLY good thing about this place. Such a shame.
I love this place, food is great, price is reasonable, and service was on point. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would defo recommend as a new spot for anyone who loves Mediterranean food. :)
Got a last minute dinner take away here the other night, my friend ordered a chicken shawarma and I ordered a mixed shish kebab. To say it was delicious is an understatement, you could tell straight away that this was made with love. The spices exploding in my mouth and the juices pouring with every bite. Do yourself a favour and experience it for yourself.
Very good grill and good prices too.
My first choice when it comes to kebab and Shish in Colliers Wood.
Their wings are good too.
Good fresh food and generly good service. Not much of an atmosphere eating in restaurant area is normally closed off and is cold with no ambience
Really great place for a quick lunch. The shawarma wraps are incredible
Terrible customer service; the owner swears and the younger guy behind the counter even said “let’s take this outside” all because I pointed out that their pricing doesn’t make sense, I.e.
Regular mixed grill, eat in price £14, or take away price £13 and you get:
- 1 lamb Shish skewer
- 1 chicken shish skewer
- 1 lamb Adana skewer
- Regular chips
- Regular salad
Large mixed grill, eat in price £25, or take away price £22.95. You’d expect to get double the above, right? - no… all you get extra is a skewer of wings and some extra chips / salad.
How much do wings cost? - £4.50… so, with that logic, a regular mixed grill + wings should be £18.50… instead, it’s £25… so you’re telling me it’s £6.50 for some more chips and salad?
When I tried to explain this to the owner he started swearing at me.
Will never go back.
Shame - there are other customers here who have also complained about their bad service and price confusions.
