Quick Facts About Atlantic Village

Strengths:
1. Freshly cooked food: According to one review, the food at Atlantic Village Place is always cooked fresh and well. This indicates that the shop prioritizes the quality and freshness of their food, which is a positive aspect for customers who value this.
2. Friendly staff: Another comment mentions that the lady who served them was kind and seemed to be genuinely caring. Having friendly and attentive staff can improve the overall dining experience and make customers feel welcomed and valued.
3. Good chips: One review argues that the chips at Atlantic Village Place are the best in town. This suggests that the shop has a particular strength in preparing and cooking their chips, which could be a draw for customers who prioritize this aspect of their fish and chips.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent service: One comment mentions that the staff did not acknowledge them and the shop was closed earlier than advertised. Inconsistent service and unreliability can be a major downside for customers, as it affects their ability to plan and have a positive experience at the shop.
2. Poor communication: Several comments indicate that the staff did not effectively communicate with customers, either by not answering questions or not providing adequate information about substitutions or menu items. Poor communication can lead to misunderstandings and dissatisfaction among customers.
3. Subpar quality: One reviewer expresses disappointment with the size of the portions, the quality of the fish, and the lack of freshness in the batter. Poor quality food can significantly impact the overall dining experience and lead to negative reviews and loss of customers.
4. Limited menu options: Another comment mentions that the shop did not have the plain large sausages that were ordered. This suggests that the shop may have a limited selection of menu items or may struggle with keeping all items in stock, which can be frustrating for customers who have specific preferences or dietary restrictions.
Overall, while Atlantic Village Place has some strengths such as freshly cooked food, friendly staff, and good chips, its weaknesses in terms of inconsistent service, poor communication, subpar quality, and limited menu options could negatively impact customer satisfaction and lead to a loss of business. Addressing these weaknesses would be crucial for the shop to improve and attract more customers.

Best TL Reviews

Well that was an experience.
Would be helpful if the staff listened to the question and not just reply with yes.
Do the bergers come with chips?
'yes' was the reply.
At £5.20 I would think so.
No mention on the menu hence the question, however it does say upgrade to medium chips and a drink for an additional fee. So from my original question I would then assume they come with small chips.
Oh how wrong was I.
I wish you all the best in these trying times, but for £5.20 for a burger. I tied you failed McDs it is next time.
Also looks like I'm going hungry, I like living....
Terrible experience, ordered my food, the two young ladies running the shop that evening seemed a little inexperienced, which showed after giving part of my order to a customer served after me whilst making me wait while having to cook the missing part of my order, she really didn't understand what was going on,
I ordered a large battered sausage and a large plain sausage and large chips,
I had x2 small sausages as they didn't have any plain large sausages despite making me wait to redo the large plain sausage which was then battered while I waited, but didn't have any??
I was told its the same despite not telling me when I ordered they didn't have what I ordered and needed to subsitute.
Another customer while I was waiting asked for haddock which she replied, sorry we don't do haddock despite it being on the menu just below the cod on the menu board,
When I asked why it had gone so wrong with my order she did not understand what I was asking her.
The chips in the photo are a large which really aren't.
I would recommend going elsewhere to spend your hard earned cash.
Very nice place for holiday I think they just need to look after the gym a bit
Not sure this actually deserves even a one star if im honest????!
Overall very disappointed, the best part was a pickled egg.
2 battered sausages which were extremely dry and the batter was just so hard.
The chips had salt on them and were extremely bland and 95% of them were hard.
Our gravy was microwaved in-front of us, felt like we weren’t even good enough to make fresh gravy for.
Portion sizes are just a bit of a joke, we’re extremely disappointed and sadly would never recommend this place to anyone.
The lady who served was a sweetheart, so kind & could see she hadn’t done this for a long time.
Shocked at some of the reviews I read on here, they do not give a proper reflection of the shop. It's not the cheapest fish and chip shop, but I use it pretty often and can say the food is always cooked fresh and well. I would recommend to anyone and argue the chips are the best in town!
Been a long time since we had fish and chips, glad I picked this shop.
Friendly staff, good food, really enjoyed it.
Unfortunately the Atlantic village has reduced its hours. The reason I have put 2 star is because on their door it states open till 9pm on Saturday, I went on a Saturday and they were already closed by 8pm, even though there were people inside, they wouldn’t even look at me to acknowledge me at all!! Not on. Shame really because I doubt I will go back there now as it’s too unreliable if they will be open ????
The worst fish and chips I've had. The tiniest piece of fish ,the thinest coating of batter which had obviously been hanging around for hours - despite the server saying it had been there for 10 minutes (and I'm certain she said to a colleague don't touch that it been there ages - when serving another customer). For £7.50 I was expecting much better. Used to be good - not ever going back. Poor.
