Quick Facts About Custom Nails Spa
Custom Nails Spa has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Let's analyze the strengths and weaknesses below:
Strengths:
1. Good designs and talented technicians: One customer mentioned that the salon has great custom nail designs and praised Alexis, the owner, as a skilled designer. Additionally, Sam was mentioned as a great technician. This indicates that Custom Nails Spa has talented staff members who can deliver high-quality and aesthetically pleasing nail designs.
2. Sufficient customer demand: According to one comment, the shop has many clients. This suggests that Custom Nails Spa has a steady customer base, which could be an indicator of their ability to attract customers and deliver satisfactory services.
3. Open during COVID-19 restrictions: Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the salon remained open, making it a convenient option for customers who were looking for nail services during this period.
Weaknesses:
1. Poor time management: Several comments mentioned issues with wait times and delayed appointments. One customer had an appointment at 12 pm but wasn't seen until 12:50 pm. Another customer with an appointment at 1:14 pm did not receive any service and had to leave without getting their nails done. This indicates a lack of efficiency and poor time management at Custom Nails Spa, which might lead to frustration and disappointment among customers.
2. Language barrier: A customer mentioned experiencing difficulty communicating with a technician due to a language barrier. This can be a significant drawback as effective communication is essential for understanding customer preferences and providing satisfactory services.
3. Inconsistent service quality: Multiple comments highlighted negative experiences with the service provided at Custom Nails Spa. One customer had their nails cut in half even after specifying that they wanted them to be cut down slightly. Another customer had their nails filed and painted without the additional steps typically expected during a manicure, such as soaking in warm water and cuticle trimming. This indicates inconsistent service quality and a lack of attention to detail, which can negatively impact customer satisfaction.
4. Poor customer service: The comments also mentioned instances of poor customer service. One customer described feeling rushed out of the chair to accommodate other customers, while another mentioned being denied service because of the salon's inability to rectify a mistake made by a technician. This suggests that the staff at Custom Nails Spa may not prioritize customer satisfaction or handle customer complaints and concerns appropriately.
5. Unprofessional behavior: Another customer mentioned walking out of the salon due to a long wait for a technician. This indicates a lack of professionalism and respect for customers' time, which can significantly impact the reputation of the salon and deter potential customers.
In conclusion, while Custom Nails Spa has strengths such as talented designers and technicians and a sufficient customer base, it also suffers from weaknesses in terms of poor time management, inconsistent service quality, language barriers, poor customer service, and unprofessional behavior. These aspects should be addressed by the salon to improve the overall customer experience and reputation.

I came in for a new gel set and gel pedicure at 1:14 I asked if they can have me out by 4pm they said sure. Only for me to leave out without my nails being touched.. they did soak my old gel off so you can imagine how fragile and brittle my nails are right now. My pedicure is extremely basic after explaining to my teck kelvin that my birthday is this weekend and I wanted something extravagant, I am so disappointed right now because I have to return to work with brittle nails and I use my hands for a living, and now have to find someone to do my nails and who’s willing to work over his work without overcharging me. Not my first bad experience here but definitely my last time spending my money with them I’m disgusted
First and last time potential customer
Made an appointment for 12pm and wasn't seen until 1250pm. Told the technician that I wanted my nails long but cut down a little bit. She assumed I had tips and cut my nail in half. When I told her they were MY nails, she said that she couldn't understand me (language barrier). She then proceed to hide in the back and I had to speak to the receptionist about the situation. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I was essentially denied service because no one else could/wanted to do my nails. I was still stuck with a cut nail, BTW. I was given 5$ compensation for my cut nail and I left, as to avoid myself getting upset.
I had heard good things about this salon and was highly disappointed, as I traveled 20 miles in the rain to get serviced. I didn't disrespect anyone there and to deny me service because of someone else's mistake was so unprofessional and a waste of my time. I would never recommend anyone here, due to how my situation was handled.
Since COVID this has been my go to salon bc they were the only ones open. I travel kind of far to come to this location. My regular nail tech wasn’t here today and bc I was desperate I just did a walk in. It’s a good salon but stay away from Jenny at all cost. She did the opposite of everything I asked and I didn’t want to be the stereotypical black woman so I let it slide. Then to add insult to injury two white customers came in and she rushed me out of the chair. I literally had a 11 min pedicure, fastest in history. Jenny if you read this, you are the worst and obviously prejudiced.
I like this shop. Their custom nails are pretty good. My friend and I had to wait 20 minutes with an appointment. The shop was busy so, make an appointment if you don't want a long wait. I was going to get simple gel polish with glitter but since it was my first time at Custom Nails Spa I decided to get ombre nails for the first time. **Forgot to take a photo right after so they're about a week old **
Went here for a gel manicure. The nail tech sanded my nails so much that my nails hurt. Never soaked my nails in warm water or clipped my cuticles. When I asked her about it she said "we don't do that". So basically she filed and painted my nails, and charged me for a manicure. Won't go back.
Best designs he is the owner, Alexis is a great designer and Sam is a great Tech. Make an appointment and BE ON TIME???? shop has many clients
I went here on August 27th to get my nails and feet done. I was told there will be a little wait because I didn't have an appointment (that's fine). After waiting 30 minutes I was told that my daughter and I were next and they took us to the pedicure seats. We were there another 40 minutes with our feet still in water and no one had came to us to do our pedicures (why have us soak that long) . I WALKED OUT! Don't lie to me, tell me you don't have time Instead of wasting my time.
If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I had to get up from the pedicure chair due to a long wait for a technician. I do NOT recommend this place at all
