Starting with the strengths, one recurring theme in the comments is the cafe's friendly and welcoming staff. Several customers mentioned how the staff made them feel comfortable and provided excellent service. This is a significant strength as it contributes to creating a positive atmosphere and fosters customer loyalty. The cafe's commitment to being family-friendly is also highlighted in the comments, with customers mentioning that they can bring their children and dogs and sit outdoors comfortably. This indicates that Dandelion Cafe has successfully catered to a diverse range of customers and created an inclusive environment.
The quality of food and beverages at the cafe is consistently praised, with customers raving about the delicious cakes, generous portions, and well-made coffee. This indicates that the cafe places a strong emphasis on providing high-quality, tasty food that satisfies their customers. Additionally, the cafe's ability to cater to different dietary requirements is mentioned, which further highlights their commitment to customer satisfaction.
The comments also mention the cafe's aesthetic appeal and atmosphere. Customers describe it as being beautifully decorated and having a lovely, cozy ambiance. This is complemented by positive comments about the park area being clean and well-maintained, which adds to the overall experience of visiting the cafe. Furthermore, the fact that the cafe is situated in a refurbished historic building adds a unique charm that sets it apart from other cafes.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one significant issue that stands out is the poor service that a customer experienced when they arrived close to closing time. The staff member was rude and reluctant to let them in. This negative experience had a lasting impact on the customer and led to disappointment. This incident highlights a potential weakness in the overall customer service and the ability of the staff to handle difficult situations effectively.
Another weakness that is mentioned is the time it took to order and receive drinks, as well as the delay in receiving the bill. This indicates a potential issue with efficiency and speed of service, which can lead to frustration for customers, especially if they are in a rush.
In conclusion, the strengths of Dandelion Cafe include its friendly and welcoming staff, family-friendly atmosphere, high-quality food and beverages, and aesthetic appeal. These elements contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable customer experience. However, the weaknesses include instances of poor service and potential issues with efficiency and speed of service. Overall, Dandelion Cafe has many positive aspects that make it an attractive choice for customers, but improvements can still be made to enhance the overall experience.

Really disappointed by the service yesterday when I arrived with my two grandchildren to meet two of their friends from Liverpool to exchange Christmas presents. It was almost closing time and a rude member of staff blocked our entrance and said we couldn't come in. When I explained and I asked if I could check to see if our friends were there I was reluctantly allowed in. The children were excited to see each other but the staff attitude was very uncomfortable and the children exchanged presents in the street. A complete stranger came up to us and said the way we were treated was disgraceful. I should add that my previous experience has always been very positive which is why I recommended it to my friends in the first place.
Gorgeous cafe that I use with the children and dog as we are able to sit outdoors under th canopy with the dog. Coffee is great and kids love the ice cream
Update Feb 2020
I cannot get enough of this cafe. The atmosphere, cakes and staff are fantastic.
The staff are so welcoming and it really is such a family friendly cafe.
Lovely 1st visit, beautifully decorated , warm welcome , excellent service. Food was delicious, generous portions & a feast for eyes & tastebuds.Loved the atmosphere. We will be back & recommend.
Perhaps my favourite café in Glasgow. Adorable little place within the surroundings of Newlands Park. The specials are always imaginative and delicious while the baked croissant with scrambled eggs is the best in town - and the Empire biscuits are similarly without equal. Friendly and delightful staff, too.
This is a lovely place and park area is so clean. Lovely staff and great cakes ????????. Definitely worth a visit. Betty
Refurbished from a no longer used tennis pavilion, the cafe owners had to persuade the council to lease the property. Now a thriving cafe which has brought jobs, great food and drink to the park and preserved a historic building. Clientele is varied although squeezed a little more to mums, children and grannies. Clean and accessible toilets, 10 tables inside, 3 outside under cover. Muzak, but at very low level. Really free WiFi (no sign up) but slower than most mobile 3G.
A selection of home made savoury lunches and snacks accompanied by a great selection of cakes and tray bakes to go with well made locally roasted coffee. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and service is prompt without being pushy. Quality of food and beverages is very good and caters for a varieties of dietary requirements. Recommend for a lazy afternoon break or to grab a take away coffee and cake from the outside take away counter to eat in the park.
Ever popular with all ages. Lovely food, service and atmosphere. Chorizo hash a highlight. My only criticisms: the time to order and receive first drinks, and ended up going to fill in order to get the bill
If all coffee shops were like this the world would be a wonderful place. Perfect flat white, delicious tea, amazing cakes, awsome bacon rolls and fab service. Highly recommended.
