Quick Facts About Davy Lee
Davy Lee Place appears to have several strengths based on the comments above. One of its strengths is the quality and taste of its food. Customers comment on the deliciousness and freshness of the dishes, specifically highlighting the Wok Crispy Noodles, Yaki Undon, and duck spring rolls. The restaurant also offers a good selection of meats and vegetables, catering to both meat eaters and vegetarians.
Another strength of Davy Lee Place is the portion size and value for money. Customers appreciate the large portions that leave them plenty of leftovers for the following day. Many comment on the affordability of the restaurant, noting that it is cheaper than other Chinese takeaways in the area. This makes it an appealing option for those looking for a tasty, filling meal at a reasonable price.
Customers also mention the variety of options available at Davy Lee Place. The restaurant offers both Thai and Japanese dishes, expanding its menu beyond traditional Chinese cuisine. This appeals to customers who are looking for different flavors and culinary experiences. The introduction of Japanese food options has received positive feedback, with customers expressing excitement to try them. The availability of bento boxes is also highlighted as a popular choice among customers.
The restaurant's previous reputation as "Davy Lees" is mentioned in one of the comments, indicating that it had a strong reputation in the past. While the change in ownership may have raised some concerns, customers note that Davy is still involved, and his wife continues to cook in the kitchen. This continuity suggests that the quality and taste of the food may have been maintained despite the change.
Despite these strengths, there are a few potential weaknesses that can be inferred from the comments. One customer mentions that the food was good but not as good as when it was under the previous ownership. This suggests that there may have been a slight decline in the overall quality of the food or taste since the change. However, without further details, it is difficult to determine the extent of this weakness.
Additionally, while the comments generally praise the food, there is not much mention of the overall dining experience or customer service. It would be beneficial to have more feedback regarding the service provided by the staff and the ambiance of the restaurant. Without this information, it is challenging to fully assess the strengths and weaknesses of Davy Lee Place in these areas.
In conclusion, Davy Lee Place has several strengths based on the comments provided. The quality and taste of the food, as well as the value for money and variety of options, are particularly highlighted. However, potential weaknesses include a decline in food quality since the change in ownership and a lack of information regarding the overall dining experience. Overall, Davy Lee Place appears to be a popular and affordable option for Asian cuisine in the area.

Tried some of the new Thai and Japanese dishes, got the wok crispy noodles and delicious yaki undon! Loved the fresh veggies and tender chicken, great price for the portion size too. Excited to try the chicken bento box next time.
Excellent restaurant for Asian food! I’ve tried several popular foods and they all tasted good and fresh! Will order again!
We have just eaten our first meal from here and I must say it was delicious,I would recommend this establishment to anybody,it is now going to be my go to place for the Chinese meal treat.
There's a change of ownership although Davy is still there. His Mrs is still cooking out in the kitchen. There are now Japanese food options I had mixed meat (chicken, beef, pork, steak and sea life. All with chunky noodles and vegetables. I can't remember the name of the dish off-hand, but I will most definitely be back for another one. My wife is a vegetarian so they have a good selection for non meat eaters. It not expensive either, eating out atm is a luxury so the large portions were very welcome. I've enough leftovers for the following day.
1st time ordering and it won’t be the last. The food was really lovely. The duck spring rolls, ribs & salt and chilli squid was gorgeous. Highly recommend the chicken katsu or beef bento boxes. Absolutely stuffed as the portions were really good & there was plenty of meat on the ribs. We’ll defo be back to try more of the menu. Absolutely smashing!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
