Went in for a quick drink and a cake with my eleven year old daughter whilst waiting for a train. As an incredibly friendly and relaxed individual that very, very rarely complains- what was intended as a small treat for my little lady turned into an absolutely appauling scenario.
Served by a lady with ginger hair, my daughter and I tried to make polite chit chat with the barista and she literally ignored every comment we made, looked absolutely put out that she had to make our drinks, couldn't smile at my daughter once and left her in almost tears throughout our stay.
To make matters worse, we then had to endure a moaning marathon between herself and a colleague about absent colleagues for the next 40 minutes.
Totally ruined my daughters shopping spree and was an unfortunate anti climax to what was a lovely day.
Perhaps she should work from home or somewhere away from general public???
Went today with my mam and was served by a man called simon (i believe). Super friendly and recommended the carrot cake. I found out I arent keen on it because of the walnuts (texture issues) but my mam loved it. Definitely recommend ????❤️
Great hardworking staff always a queue though can be up to 25 minute wait time. Can get a bit noisy but lovely place to sit with great coffee always.
Tables weren't the cleanest but was quite a busy period. Staff friendly drinks and food as you would expect from a large chain, all good.
