Quick Facts About Driftwood Cafe
The Driftwood Cafe has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. One strength is its beautiful interior design, which is described as a picture of seaside happiness. Customers appreciate the local artwork and lovely collection of pottery, which adds to the overall atmosphere of the cafe.
Another strength is the helpfulness of the staff. Even without a reservation, they were willing to accommodate customers and find them a table. This level of customer service is highly valued and contributes to a positive dining experience. Additionally, the staff is described as friendly and polite, creating a welcoming and pleasant environment for customers.
The quality of the food is consistently praised by customers. Many comments mention that the food is excellent and delicious. Some customers specifically mention that the food is locally sourced, highlighting the cafe's commitment to using fresh and high-quality ingredients. Portion sizes are also mentioned as a positive aspect, with customers noting that they are generous and satisfying.
The cafe is also known for its special biscuits that come with hot meals. This unique offering adds to the overall dining experience and is mentioned as a highlight by customers. Additionally, the cafe offers a variety of menu options, including breakfast and lunch items, which appeal to different preferences and dietary needs.
The location of the cafe is also a strength. It is described as a cute little cafe tucked away at the end of the promenade. This adds to its charm and provides a unique setting for customers to enjoy their meals. The proximity to the waterfront is also mentioned as a positive aspect, as it allows customers to enjoy scenic views while dining.
While the Driftwood Cafe has many strengths, there are also a few weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. One weakness mentioned by a customer is the need to book a table in advance. While the staff was willing to accommodate customers without a reservation, it is suggested that booking ahead of time is recommended. This could be seen as a limitation for customers who prefer to dine spontaneously or have limited availability.
Another weakness mentioned is the price of the breakfast. While the food is described as worth the price, it is noted that the breakfast is on the expensive side. This could be a deterrent for some customers who are looking for more affordable options. Additionally, it is mentioned that the regular coffee size is quite small, so customers are advised to order a large if they prefer a larger portion.
Overall, the strengths of the Driftwood Cafe outweigh the weaknesses. The beautiful interior, helpful staff, high-quality food, and unique offerings like the special biscuits all contribute to its positive reputation. The weaknesses, such as the need to book in advance and the higher price of the breakfast, are relatively minor in comparison. Customers consistently express their love for the cafe and recommend it to others, highlighting its overall appeal.

Well what a cafe!!
The inside is beautiful- picture of seaside happiness!! The local artwork was beautiful and lovely collection of pottery too!
The staff were so helpful and let us have a table even though we hadn't booked (I SUGGEST BOOKING!). The breakfast was on the price side but completely worth it!! Big helping too!
The best bit was the little biscuits you get with a hot meal (I would pay for the recipe!!)
Overall I suggest a booked trip here for a lovely atmosphere and food
Absolutely love coming here for both breakfast and lunch, the quality of the food is excellent and locally sourced if I'm correct. Really nice atmosphere and staff. Picture below of the chicken wrap, would also recommend the ham egg and chips portion sizes are fabulous and chips also home made!! Would recommend getting a large coffee if youre visiting as the regular one is quite small. Other than this can not fault the place.
Cute little cafe tucked away at the end of the prom. Great service and lunch was absolutely brilliant, super tasty. We had the Welsh Rarebit and posh fish finger butty which was a winner. Ordered a side of chips too and they were chunky.. better than chippy chips. Will be visiting again shortly. Highly recommend.
This was a very unassuming and nice stop for breakfast near the waterfront. The wait staff was very friendly and even offered us suggestions. Food was delicious to say the least, especially their scones!
Popped in as we wanted to try here. Got a table right next to the counter which was really good. Plenty of room to move around even though it was full. Ordered the Driftwood Club Sandwich and a portion of homemade chips.
Sandwich was delicious as where their chips. Had an iced latte then an ordinary coffee, and the wife had a milkshake then a tea as well.
Service was spot on and very friendly, and always happy to help you.
Must say didn't eat another thing that day as the club was more than sufficient.
Go there if you want a great meal at a great price.
Excellent food, delightful atmosphere, very popular, many tables reserved on our visit.
First time of visiting this amazing cafe. Welcomed with a warm, friendly greeting and looked after well. Chose a regular and small breakfast. Excellent quality products, cooked to perfection and served hot. Accompanied by latte, again presented well and served hot. The sight of the homemade bakewell tart proved irresistible. This was truly amazing and one of the best desserts that we had ever tasted. Our whole experience at the driftwood couldn't have been better and at such good value for money. You certainly have got it right, the staff, food quality, ambience, value for money and wow factor. Will definitely be back soon even if it is almost 90 mile round trip!. Many thanks.
Lovely place with a nice atmosphere, the staff are very helpful and polite.
The food is really good at a great price.
I will definitely be going again.
