Quick Facts About Envy Nails
Envy Nails has received both positive and negative feedback from customers. In order to assess its strengths and weaknesses, we will analyze the comments provided.
One strength of Envy Nails is its convenient location. The salon is conveniently located near one of the customers, making it easily accessible. This is a positive aspect for customers who are looking for a nearby salon for their nail care needs.
However, there are also several weaknesses highlighted by the customers. One major issue is the lack of communication and poor customer service. One customer mentioned that their manicurist changed the shape of their nails without their consent and did not bother to answer their questions. This lack of communication and disregard for customer preferences can be seen as a weakness of Envy Nails. Another customer had a similar experience, where the nail technician flatly refused to provide them with the desired manicure without any explanation or alternative options. This behavior can be seen as rude and unprofessional, further reflecting the poor customer service at the salon.
Another weakness highlighted by a customer is the prolonged waiting time and rushed service. The customer mentioned that their 70-year-old grandmother had to wait for two hours and received a poor and rushed manicure. The staff seemed to prioritize younger clients over the older ones and did not provide adequate service to the grandmother. This behavior reveals a lack of consideration and equality in serving all customers, which can be seen as a weakness of Envy Nails.
One strength of Envy Nails is the prompt and courteous service mentioned by a customer who visited the salon on a Sunday afternoon. The customer appreciated the fair pricing and found the service comparable to other places. This positive feedback suggests that Envy Nails can provide satisfactory service when it is not crowded.
Another strength mentioned is the skill of specific nail technicians. One customer praised Don for going above and beyond in providing excellent service. They mentioned that Don always honors their appointment time, and they highly recommend him. This positive feedback highlights the talent and dedication of certain staff members at Envy Nails.
However, there are also negative comments about specific nail technicians. One customer urged others to avoid going to Envy Nails, specifically mentioning Tony as the "worst and most vile human being ever." The customer accused Tony of being rude and disrespectful, even shouting at them in front of other customers. This negative experience reflects poorly on the customer service and professionalism of Tony, which can be considered a weakness of Envy Nails.
In conclusion, Envy Nails has strengths such as its convenient location and skilled nail technicians like Don. However, it also has weaknesses in terms of poor communication, rude behavior from certain staff members, and unequal treatment of customers. These weaknesses can negatively impact the overall customer experience at Envy Nails and should be addressed by the management in order to improve the salon's reputation and customer satisfaction.

I went here for the first time for a fill in. It’s conveniently located near me. My manicurist completely changed shape of my nails without my consent. I didn’t notice until one hand was done. I asked him a question that he didn’t bother to answer. Also, he put glue around my nails and under them. Now I have a slight pain on my fingertips from the glue. This was definitely my last visit.
My Mom & I used to go here a lot and we never had an issue. We hadn’t been in a while and went today, and I was pretty disappointed with my experience. I’m not sure of the name of the gentleman who sits in the first chair, but he did my nails today. I showed him a photo of what I wanted, one of those cool reverse french manicures, where just the tips are colored (see attached photo) they’re super trendy right now and I was excited to have it done for Christmas. I showed him the photo and asked “Could we do something like this?” To which he just flatly replied “No.” surprised I said “Oh, no?” And again, all he said was “No.” My Mom even asked if there was someone else there who could do it, to which again he sharply said “No.” I was really taken aback by this. There was no apology, no explanation, just “No.” That’s not how you respond to a customer, and this is a nail salon. You should be able to do more than just simply slap polish on people’s nails. But it was his response that upset me more than the fact that no one there could do it. We normally go to a very nice salon in downtown Farmington who does great services, and only came here because they were closed and it’s the only time we had before Christmas. But needless to say, we won’t be coming back.
This was my first time here. They did a pretty good job. I plan to come back next time I need a pedicure!
The employees made my 70 year old grandmother wait 2 hours for a very poor and rushed manicure. She walked in and before should could say what her service was they said “ for you it’s going to be a hour wait”. She just wanted a simple manicure but they chose to take extra long with each of their clients so they could encourage her to leave. The male nail tech rushed and was frustrated with my grandmother during her entire appointment. What kind of nail crew is this? You all took care of the younger non-poc and made sure their nails were perfect but you all chose to give my grandmother poor service because she chose to wait and ended up waiting for mediocre work. You all should be ashamed.
Don always goes above and beyond with me. My appointment time is always honored; I've never had to wait and I'm out within 2 hours for both pedicure and fill-in. I highly recommend Don at Envy Nails, without reservation.
Avoid going here at all costs. Not only is the place subpar but the staff, in particular TONY, is the absolute worst and most vile human being ever. There are at least 5-6 other amazing nail salons within the same vicinity in Farmington Hills where the staff do an amazing job and let you give your input of your preferences without telling you to “don’t ask for me next time you come. I’m not doing your nails again”. These are the words of Tony to me when he was finishing up my manicure. I still have no explanation of why and what prompted this but I have never been more shocked from any human interaction than I was after today. It was so bizarre and to make it worse he did this in front of other costumers. He then realized he didn’t even finish my manicure and had the audacity to ask if he can finish it. I refused and even after he apologized for his outburst I will never understand how a business can treat a paying customer like this. I will NEVER EVER go here again. Please save your money and self-respect and go elsewhere. Lots of amazing options near by.
Got very prompt and courteous service on a Sunday afternoon. Pricing was fair/comparable to other places.
Not friendly, but Tim does a good job on the nails. It's best to go on their off hours (non-peak) is possible. I love it that the no-chip polish is removed without the use of the electric filler so the nail doesn't weaken.
