Quick Facts About Eureka Cafe

The comments provided give a mixed view of Eureka Cafe. Some customers have positive experiences, praising the cleanliness, friendly staff, and quality of food. However, there are also some negative comments pointing out issues with slow service, pricing, and packaging waste. Overall, the strengths and weaknesses of Eureka Cafe can be summarized as follows:
Strengths: 1. Food quality: Several comments mention the excellent food at Eureka Cafe. Customers appreciate the freshness and taste of the dishes, including paninis, salads, and breakfast items. 2. Cleanliness: The cafe is consistently praised for its cleanliness, with comments highlighting the tidy serving area, clean tables, and well-maintained toilets. This creates a positive impression for customers. 3. Friendly staff: Many customers emphasize the attentive and friendly nature of the staff. The personal service received makes customers feel valued and welcomed. 4. Ample parking: The cafe benefits from easy parking, which is an attractive feature for customers who want convenience and accessibility.
Weaknesses: 1. Packaging waste: One comment expresses disappointment in the use of non-recyclable polystyrene foam containers. This raises concerns about the cafe's environmental impact and sustainability practices. 2. Slow service: A negative comment mentions slow service and a lack of smiles from the staff. This can lead to a poor customer experience, especially if customers are expecting efficient service. 3. Pricing: One customer feels that the prices at Eureka Cafe are too high, citing an experience where they spent almost £30 on breakfast for two people. This could deter price-sensitive customers and affect their perception of the value for money. 4. Lack of menu clarity: A comment points out confusion over the menu description. The customer expected a choice of egg style with their breakfast but was charged extra for choosing scrambled eggs. Clarity on the menu in terms of egg options could avoid customer disappointment and confusion.
To address these weaknesses, the cafe can take the following steps:
1. Packaging alternatives: The cafe should explore more sustainable packaging options, such as recyclable or compostable containers. This will align with customers' expectations and demonstrate a commitment to environmental responsibility. 2. Improved training and efficiency: The cafe should prioritize staff training to improve service speed and ensure a positive customer experience. Encouraging friendliness and smiling can also contribute to a more welcoming atmosphere. 3. Competitive pricing: The cafe should review its pricing strategy to ensure it remains competitive in the local market. Offering occasional loyalty rewards, such as free tea or discounts to regular customers, can enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. 4. Clear menu descriptions: The menu should clearly state the type of egg included in breakfast dishes to avoid confusion and unexpected charges. Clarity in menu descriptions will set appropriate expectations for customers.
In conclusion, while Eureka Cafe has several strengths, such as quality food, cleanliness, friendly staff, and ample parking, there are areas for improvement. Addressing packaging waste, enhancing service efficiency, competitive pricing, and clear menu descriptions will help the cafe elevate its overall customer experience and satisfaction.

Disappointed. Ordered a takeaway mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini, which came with salad (which I declined) and crisps (which turned out to be nachos). The food took a while to prepare and was then handed to me in a polystyrene foam container - these boxes can’t be recycled and go straight into landfill. What a waste!Amazed that some food outlets still think this is acceptable when there are many sustainable and recyclable alternatives. The panini was okay and the staff friendly, but I won’t be back unless they fix the packaging issue.
Friendly local cafe with excellent food at reasonable prices. Very clean throughout, including toilet. Tables not sticky, floor clean, serving area clean and tidy - gives a good impression. Easy parking outside but can be difficult to find a space during busy periods.
Good number of tables but they're rather cramped in, not ideal for buggies, walking frames, etc. Once sat down seating and tables have plenty of space.
Staff refreshingly attentive and friendly, felt like a valued customer despite this being my first visit.
Free Wi-Fi too.
Great cafe, very clean great service, Kelsey and Annabel are friendly, polite and on the ball.nothing is to much trouble great girls and do you proud.
We use it twice a week every week and have done for some time, it’s a good location with plenty of parking, it serves quality produce at reasonably prices.
I do think the odd free tea to regulars wouldn’t hurt we have experienced this before at other places and it dose go down very well,

I used to love this place, would drive the hour just to have breakfast but visited at the weekend and was very disappointed. Not only did the waitress not a crack a smile, the service was very slow. The menu stated 'egg' with breakfast and in many places this means you can choose what style of egg so I opted for scrambled, little did I know they would charge me £1.40 to ask for scrambled, I mean it costs less in McD's to add egg to your muffin! They should state 'fried egg' on the menu instead of just egg. The breakfast was average, not as great as it was years ago and the prices are too high now. I spent almost £30 in here just for 2 breakfasts (the egg on my partners plate was also undercooked and contained shell). I won't be returning.
A monster of a breakfast that will keep me going all day!! Friendly service, easy parking and customer toilet available.
Absolutely gorgeous food fresh and cooked to order . A ham roll and salad with crisps followed with a cup of tea, too much for me so boxed ready to take home. Lovely waitress AnnBelle served us today lovely and thoughtful service with a smile and polite, attention to detail we will be back many times in the future.
Also good luck to the new owner x
