Quick Facts About Framfield Park Fishery
Framfield Park Fishery, located in East Sussex, offers a range of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. This analysis will explore the strengths and weaknesses of the fishery in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of its offerings.
One of the main strengths of Framfield Park Fishery is its well-maintained appearance. The new owners have invested significant time and effort into improving each swim, resulting in a visually appealing and well-casted fishing experience. This attention to detail enhances the overall enjoyment of fishing at the fishery and is highly appreciated by visitors.
Another strength is the variety of lakes available at the fishery. With three lakes on offer, visitors can choose between a match lake, big fish lake, and carp specimen lake. This diversity provides different fishing experiences to cater to a range of preferences. Additionally, the presence of catfish weighing over 100lb in the big fish lake adds an exciting challenge for experienced anglers. The opportunity to catch large catfish is a unique and thrilling aspect of fishing at Framfield Park Fishery.
The comments also highlight the presence of fin-perfect fish, particularly carp, within the lakes. This indicates that the fishery successfully maintains the health and well-being of its fish. The presence of Carp, Bream, Roach, and Rudd stocks in the lakes also provides a wide variety of fish for anglers to target. The healthy and diverse fish population is a significant strength of the fishery.
The fishery is also praised for its security measures. The presence of big gates that close between 7pm-7am creates a sense of security for visitors, ensuring a safe and worry-free fishing experience. This is particularly important for those who may be fishing during early mornings or late evenings, as they can feel confident in their safety.
Affordability and friendly helpful staff are consistently mentioned as positive aspects of the fishery. The reasonable prices make fishing accessible to a wider range of individuals, and the helpful staff contribute to a positive and enjoyable atmosphere.
The peaceful and picturesque surroundings of the fishery are also highlighted as a positive aspect. This tranquility adds to the overall experience and provides a relaxing atmosphere for anglers to enjoy. The presence of safe areas for each fisherman and friendly fellow anglers looking out for each other, especially in the case of a younger angler, further adds to the feeling of safety and community within the fishery.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One comment highlights concerns about the overall health and quality of the fish. While this comment is based on the individual's experience and includes a photograph of stunted and disfigured carp, it is essential to consider the validity of this claim. The suggestion that the Environment Agency should investigate the fishery raises concerns about the overall fish health and management of the fishery.
Additionally, it is noted that the fishery would benefit from an improved website. A website that provides detailed information about the fishery, its facilities, and amenities would enhance the overall visitor experience by providing relevant and up-to-date information.
In conclusion, Framfield Park Fishery has several strengths, including its beautifully maintained appearance, variety of lakes, healthy fish population, security measures, affordability, friendly staff, and tranquil surroundings. However, there are concerns raised about the overall fish health and the need for a more comprehensive website. Overall, it appears to be a popular and enjoyable fishery, attracting a range of anglers who appreciate its offerings.

Beautifully kept, new owners spending the last two years so each swim looks great and has a good casting point.
Three lakes, to become a match lake, big fish lake and carp specimen lake...catfish over 100lb in the big fish so be prepared!
We caught a couple of very nice carp, and could see the bow wave from the monsters!
Adding as 4 stars where there's big changes taking places, with a shower and new loo's (plus more) under construction to arrive soon. A portaloo in place now.
I'll be going back, and I've asked Fishbrain to add it to their maps.
Big gates that close between 7pm-7am making it feel quite secure.

Beautiful complex with fin perfect fish, we fished buryfeild with carp from 6 to 9 lb on the day and a small catfish.
The owner was pleasant to deal with and can't wait to return!
Lovely peaceful spot for fishing. Very reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff.
Had a fantastic Father's Day here with 3 generations fishing together ????
My grandson had a good day fishing here. It is well laid out with safe areas for each fisherman.
There were friendly folk who also said they would keep an eye on him...as he is only 14
It felt safe and on a sunny day you could easily relax next to the water for a bit of tranquility.
No dogs allowed
Outstanding days fishing at these lakes in East Sussex. They have three lakes to choose from . One specimen lake which I caught a 25lb carp, I also saw another fella pull out a catfish, which was huge. The other lakes are stocked with Carp, Bream, Roach and Rudd plus more.
Beautiful settings across the lakes and some decent swims to pick from. Would recommend
Good fishing when it's on caught my first cat here carp in good condition people well friendly. Video of me helping old man get his rod back after it was dragged into lake ????
Fish quality and health is appauling (photographed is one of over a dozen stunted and disfigured carp caught while fishing for Silverfish). The EA should really look at shutting this place down.
We fished the specimen lake and found the fishing to be "steady", the best of our haul was a 13lb common carp and a 25lb cat.
Fish were in very good condition, no damage, well not the ones we caught anyway.
Very picturesque and peaceful surroundings.
Spoke to the new owner who has good plans to improve the facilities, although a decent website could be a priority?
I will definitely be going back.
