Quick Facts About Hand & Heart

Hand & Heart is a pub in Nottingham that has received mixed reviews from customers. It is important to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment based on the comments provided.
One of the main strengths of Hand & Heart is its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It is described as having a gemütliches Ambiente, which translates to a comfortable and cozy ambiance. Customers feel at ease and comfortable in the pub, thanks to the friendly and attentive staff. This is a significant advantage, as it creates a positive dining experience and encourages customers to return.
The pub also receives praise for its wide selection of beers, including specialty options such as Chouffe and Plum Porter. This variety is seen as a strength, as it caters to different tastes and preferences. The well-kept beer is also highlighted, indicating that the pub takes pride in its beverage offerings.
The unique feature of Hand & Heart is its dining area, which is located in caves. This is perceived as a positive aspect, as it adds to the ambiance and provides a memorable experience for customers. The caves are described as being at a lovely constant temperature, avoiding the extremes of being too hot or too cold. This is appealing, as it enhances the comfort level and overall enjoyment of the dining experience.
Additionally, the quality of the food is highly praised by some customers. One comment mentions that the pub serves the best roast and dinner in Nottingham. The variety of meat options, such as lamb, pork, and beef, receives positive feedback as well. This indicates that Hand & Heart excels in its culinary offerings, which is a significant strength for a pub.
However, there are also weaknesses that have been identified by customers. One of the main concerns is the smell in the caves. It is mentioned that there is a musty odor due to dampness. This could be off-putting for some customers, as it may affect their enjoyment of the dining experience.
Another weakness highlighted by a customer is the overpricing of the food. The comment mentions that the food is expensive for pub grub, specifically referring to a burnt burger bun. This indicates that the quality may not always meet the high price point, which could be a drawback for budget-conscious customers.
There are also concerns raised about the cleanliness of the pub. Although the caves and unique location make it challenging to maintain cleanliness, it is mentioned that the exterior and internal decor need work. This could give the impression of a poorly-maintained establishment, potentially deterring new customers.
Another weakness mentioned by a customer is the lack of a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers. The comment suggests that the majority of the clientele consists of regulars and the average age is 50+, making it less inviting for new customers. This could limit the pub's ability to attract a diverse customer base and potentially hinder its growth.
In conclusion, Hand & Heart has a number of strengths, such as its cozy atmosphere, wide beer selection, unique dining area, and quality food. However, there are also weaknesses, including the musty smell in the caves, overpricing of food, cleanliness issues, and a lack of a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers. It is important for the pub to address these weaknesses in order to improve the overall customer experience and attract a broader customer base.

bei meinem Nottingham Besuch führte mich meine Enkelin auch in diesen Pub. Sehr gemütliches Ambiente, nette, freundliche Bedienung, gutes Essen, man fühlt sich sehr wohl hier.
Great choice of beers, including Chouffe and Plum Porter on our visit. Lovely food, served by cracking staff. The cosy caves serve as the dining area, at a lovely constant temperature. Not too hot and not too cold.
Excellent—best roast and dinner we’ve had in Nottingham. Tried the lamb, pork, and beef (pictured) roasts and couldn’t decide which we liked best. Staff were delightful and the place was gorgeous.
在英国吃过最好吃的牛排之一,价格也比较合适。洞里面没网没信号,而且霉味比较大,介意的还是不要来。
Ambience is amazing when sitting and eating inside the caves and the staff are good.
It does smell a bit musty because of the damp though.
The food is very overpriced for pub grub. For something simple like a burger, my bun was burnt to a crisp.
Decent pub, very unique for Nottingham with the caves, well kept beer. The exterior needs work doing as does the internal decor just feel like it needs a good clean, that may be difficult due to the caves. Felt not particularly welcoming for new comers as the average age in the pub was 50+ and all felt like regulars. Worth visiting
Great place to eat! My wife and I just happened to be looking for a place to eat and stumbled on this gem. Its built into a cave! Great place for a candle lit dinner and they serve wonderful food! I highly recommend them and I look forward to eating there again!
A classic old Nottingham pub in the mountain, with a view of the rocks of the cave on the ceiling! Really, such a lovely place to go and hang out, a warm and cozy reprieve from the wet and damp. I would love to go again. The food was quite good (I had the vegetarian roast) - but the chips were exceptional! I would like to try the restaurant some day.
