Quick Facts About Happy Bean Cafe.
Happy Bean Cafe is a popular breakfast and lunch spot in Edinburgh, known for its generous portions and delicious food. The comments left by customers highlight several strengths and a few potential weaknesses of the cafe.
Starting with the strengths, the most prominent one is the portion sizes. Multiple customers mention that the servings at Happy Bean Cafe are large and filling. One customer even states that they doubt they will need to eat anything else for the rest of the day after having breakfast there. This aspect is particularly appealing to those who have a big appetite or enjoy getting value for their money.
The taste of the food at Happy Bean Cafe also receives positive feedback. Customers express their satisfaction with the quality and flavors of the dishes. They mention that the breakfast roll, fry-up, and sandwiches are all tasty and well-cooked. One customer even specifically praises the cinnamon cake, stating that they sometimes order from the cafe just for that item.
Another strength of Happy Bean Cafe is its variety of offerings. Customers remark on the diverse menu, which includes items like smoothies, soups, sandwiches, and pastries. The cafe is commended for catering to different dietary preferences, such as offering a veggie breakfast option. Additionally, the cafe's selection of smoothies is mentioned as being of good quality, even though it is slightly more expensive.
The friendly and straightforward service is another positive aspect that customers appreciate. One customer mentions that the cafe staff member they interacted with was nice and helpful. This kind of service can enhance the overall dining experience and make customers feel welcome and valued.
Delivery options also contribute to the strengths of Happy Bean Cafe. Customers mention using delivery services like Deliveroo to order their breakfast, coffee, and smoothies from the cafe. These orders are described as being carefully packed and made with love. This convenient option allows customers to enjoy the cafe's offerings even if they are unable to dine in.
While the comments mostly highlight positive aspects of Happy Bean Cafe, there are a few potential weaknesses mentioned as well. One customer comments on the tea being served in a pot and cup, rather than in a mug, which they would have preferred. While this may be a minor issue, it suggests that the cafe may not meet the preferences of all customers when it comes to drink serving styles.
Another potential weakness could be the limited seating space. One customer mentions that they initially struggled to find a table at a local pub and were relieved to find tables inside Happy Bean Cafe. This implies that the cafe may not have an extensive seating area, which could be a limitation, especially during peak hours.
Overall, the strengths of Happy Bean Cafe include its large portion sizes, delicious food, variety of menu options, friendly service, and convenient delivery options. The potential weaknesses lie in the serving style of teas and the limited seating space. Despite these minor drawbacks, the comments indicate that Happy Bean Cafe is highly recommended and leaves customers satisfied and eager to return.

Well, this is a breakfast of champions, couldn't finish it, and both of us are completely stuffed. I doubt I'll eat anything else all day. I'll need a heart transplant after this ????.
I highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed at all, the biggest portion I've ever seen for a breakfast in Edinburgh, so make sure you're hungry and obviously it was delicious.
Came here for coffee and a breakfast roll with egg and bacon. The dude was nice and very straightforward. The coffee was decent, but the breakfast roll was super good.
Absolutely in love with the cinnamon cake! I sometimes order on deliveroo just for that. Decent and large variety of quality smoothie too, although smoothie is a bit more expensive. Wish I live closer to the shop!
At least once a week I treat myself to a veggie breakfast delivery, which totally sets me up for the day. Great portion, great value. Definitely the best in the area.
I love Scotland like BIG LOVE and personal cafes like Happy Bean Cafe with awesome coffee is a super find. Wish we had time for breakfast bc the sandwiches and smoothies looked and smelled amazing.
A nice man made me a tasty fry up. Not greasy, plenty of beans, well cooked egg and a tattie scone. I would have preferred tea in a mug rather than a wee pot and a cup but that's okay. It was very nice and I'll happily go back.
The girls and I were looking to have some lunch and will th the football being on today we were struggling to get a table in one of the local pubs. Thankfully one of the girls noticed the beautiful bread in the window we then noticed it had tables inside. We ordered the Thai and sweet potato soup it was Delish along with a Smoked Salmon with cream cheese and dill served on sourdough bread drizzled with and Essence of olive oil finished off with a lovely decorated latte the cup and saucer were cute and the cup delicatley fitted into the saucer with a little circular groove on the centre of the saucer quite unusual but noticed. We would Recommend trying here the cakes and bread are tantalising Especially the Banana and Peanut pastry. We will definitely be back again.
Just placed an order on Deliveroo of breakfast, coffee and a smoothie. Clearly made and packed with love. Thank you!
