The staff were very friendly and food was tasty too. Sashimi was fresh. I liked fried ones. Prawn tempura, soft shell fried crab was really nice too. Tofu with the nice chewy layer was so enjoyable! Tasty rolls too ????
Food was amazing, simply amazing! I'm very particular when it comes to sushi, and Hoshi has become a local favourite. The service is really well done, and the staff know what they are doing. If you are looking for a real authentic restaurant experience and in the Mitcham/Richmond area then as a local I can tell you this is it.
Excellent food. Busy so need to book in advance. Have a very active takeaway service so food may take some time to arrive. Staff very helpful.
Editing review back to 5 star, after consistently delicious take away. I used to be a fan of Hashi, then the quality of food dropped. I haven’t ordered anything for over a year until recently, to be pleasantly surprised. I’ve now had a great experience 3 times in a row and can say Crunch and Hoshi maki are great again, Nasu Dengaku is the best grilled aubergine I’ve tried, salmon Tataki is delicious too. Everything tastes really fresh. Please keep it up!
Edited April 2019. Came here again recently for lunch and ordered sushi and rolls. Not as good as it's been before. The rice was quite compacted, not the right texture, and the fish not as flavoursome as usual. Hope it was just a one off.
Original review 2018: Consistently fantastic, we've been coming here for years. Beautifully prepared and presented, delicious Japanese food. The agadashi black cod and the Hashi roll are among our favourites. Service is superb too. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in southwest London.
Loved their service, professional and tasty. Warm welcome by the new owner and delicious new food menu. I would go back.
I used to frequent Hashi back when it was Hashi and owned by the previous owners. The sushi was always delightful and the prices were reasonable. Since the new owners took over, the sushi standard isn’t as good as it used to be, the chirashi portion has dropped and the sashimi slices are much smaller. On top of that the prices went up. Sadly I won’t be coming here anymore as if you’re going to increase prices, at least ensure the standard is the same if not better.
Been going to Hashi on and off for years, would like to go more often but unfortunately the food is rather overpriced for what it is. However that doesn't stop rhe food being deliscious, the only disappointment I have found is the karage chicken, I find it doesnt taste like any Japanese karage I have previously eatten.
