5. Positive experiences for parents and children: One customer mentioned that they bring their daughter to the salon, and both are satisfied with the services provided. The customer mentioned that their daughter's blowouts lasted a long time, and her curls remained intact even after washing. This suggests that the salon is capable of catering to both adult and child customers and meeting their specific styling needs.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent service: One customer had a negative experience due to their hair texture changing after visiting the salon. They claimed that the salon used some type of perm solution in their products, causing their hair to have a different texture and smell. This indicates that the salon may not be effectively catering to customers with specific hair needs or sensitivities, resulting in negative outcomes.
2. Poor communication and customer service: Some customers mentioned instances of poor communication or unprofessional behavior from the salon staff. One customer mentioned that the stylist cut off more hair than requested and then tried to deny it. Another customer expressed dissatisfaction with the long waiting time and the stylist leaving the salon to go shopping. These instances highlight a lack of effective communication and professionalism, which can negatively impact the overall customer experience.
3. Burned with blow dryer: One customer mentioned being burned twice by the blow dryer during their visit to the salon. This indicates a lack of proper care and attention to customer safety, which can result in negative experiences and potential harm.
4. Upselling: One customer mentioned feeling upsold during their visit to the salon. They expressed displeasure at being quoted a higher price than expected and being charged extra for a conditioner. This suggests that the salon may prioritize upselling services rather than addressing the specific needs and preferences of customers.
5. Inexperienced with specific hair types: One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the stylist's handling of their daughter's thick hair. They claimed that the stylist had difficulty managing the hair and ended up burning it while straightening. This indicates that the salon may lack expertise in dealing with a variety of hair types and textures.
Overall, Ivett Dominican Hair Salon has strengths in terms of the quality of services provided by certain stylists, the positive experiences of some customers, and the professional environment. However, there are areas of improvement needed in terms of consistency, customer service, communication, and safety measures. It is important for the salon to address these weaknesses in order to enhance the overall customer experience and reputation of the salon.

Go see Gina and be spoiled with Yocosta giving you the best shampoo you’ve had. Gina gave me a blow out, trim, and style. My style lasted 2 1/2 weeks! They are a walk in shop and the other 2 stylist are good as well. You’ll not be dissatisfied!! I also received color treatment and on my first visit and left with a bomb color!!!
When they ask you if you want to sit under the dryer or get a head massage with your deep conditioning. Choose sitting under the dryer. The head massage felt like a regular conditioner.
So I came here to get a normal wash and set in deep conditioner. I have mix curly natural hair. Long story short they put perm or some type of perm solution in their products because my hair has the smell and now my hair texture has changed as if I had a relaxer my curls don’t even look the same. I tried to wash it out many times but Nothing ????
First & last time visiting this location. I recently moved to the area and decided to give this place a try, since my normal Dominican shop is 20min away on Powers Ferry.
The lady mentioned I needed a trim. I gave her a full disclaimer about how particular I am about my hair, and I usually don't allow others to trim it. She assured me that she would only cut a little, but "a little" to her, turned out to be 3-4 inches. She then tried to act as though she didn't cut that much and that I was lying about how long my hair was before she cut it.
Also, I was burned with the blow dryer twice. And there was a child (related or friend of one of the stylists) who was loud and running wild in the shop for about 30 minutes.
I love this place and am so glad I found them! I bring my daughter here and her blowouts last very long and when we wash her hair, her curls are still there. She wants to wear her hair straight and this place is training it very well. We do wash and condition her hair first only because it saves time and I prefer to use my own products. Would definitely recommend.
I've always had positive experiences at Ivett's. Pleasant and professional environment. Styles are done exactly as they're requested. Myself and my daughter have gone here for years and have never been disappointed!
DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE LEFT UNDER THE DRYER FOR TWO HOURS WHILE YOUR STYLIST GOES SHOPPING OR IF YOU HAVE THICK HAIR. We’ve been to other Dominican salons and they never took this long or blamed it on my daughters THICK HAIR. The other stylist relocated so my teenager wanted to try this salon. My daughter said Ivett kept going OVER and OVER her hair with the iron to the point it was excessive AND burned. She also left her under the dryer for 2 hours while leaving out the salon and returning with shopping bags. Ivett said with an attitude that she never had to deal with that much hair ... so from that Statement, I know she wasn’t experienced with variety. Ivett was very unprofessional! My daughter got there with one person ahead of her around 9:30 am and Didn’t leave out of there until 2ish making her almost late for her photo shoot. She had a major attitude and was confused with her prices. She said $35 hair plus $15 for cut but when it came to paying she said the $15 was for a conditioner to make my daughter’s hair more manageable for her to do and it’s an additional $10 for cut. No stylist that has done my daughter’s hair has ever had a hard time with my daughter’s hair. Ivett seemed very stressed and not very experienced working on my daughter who said it hurt so bad because she kept going over the same part with the iron and burned her a few times to straightened it. She finally managed to straighten it but I guarantee you it doesn’t take that much hair burning. I’m dominican and I could have done my daughter’s hair but it would have been too hot in the house. So that was why I preferred to pay but this lady was terrible, rude, inconsiderate of our time, and slow! There’s a few Dominican salons in powder springs not far from there... go there before going to this lady!
A very nicely decorated salon.... The service was nice.... However I don't like when Im upsold as a client If I need a trim I will ask for one or color or anything for that matter. I walked in and was quoted a price of $40 then for a conditioner is a extra $10 that should be automatic! My hair was straight when i left as soon as i got home It has sweated out... and everyone doesn't need a roller set! Ive been to better salons in the area.. But I won't return ended up giving a tip too ...
