Quick Facts About Jays Indian @ Café Interlude

Jays Indian @ Café Interlude has received a mix of positive and negative comments, highlighting both its strengths and weaknesses. Overall, the restaurant seems to excel in its friendly service, reasonable prices, and delicious food. However, there are some areas for improvement, such as the presentation of certain dishes and occasionally missing items in takeaway orders.
One of the key strengths identified in the comments is the friendly service provided by the staff. Many customers appreciated being seated and served quickly, and several mentioned the polite and helpful nature of the staff members. This is crucial in creating a positive dining experience and ensuring that customers feel welcomed and cared for.
Another strength mentioned by customers is the quality and taste of the food. Several comments specifically mention the delicious flavors and excellent cooking. The chicken Madras and vegetable curry are highlighted as particularly tasty. This indicates that the restaurant excels in providing a satisfying and flavorful Indian dining experience, making it a new favorite for some customers.
In terms of pricing, customers generally find the restaurant to be reasonable. This is a significant strength, as affordable prices make the dining experience more accessible to a wider range of customers. It also adds value to the overall experience and encourages repeat visits.
The restaurant's location seems to be a weakness, according to some comments. Being situated in an industrial estate might deter potential customers who prefer more traditional or appealing settings for dining out. However, other customers suggest not letting this discourage people from trying the restaurant, indicating that the food and service make up for the unusual location.
One customer expressed disappointment with the presentation of their poppadoms, stating that they were crumbled up and not how they liked them. While this might seem like a minor issue, presentation plays a significant role in the overall dining experience. It is important for the restaurant to ensure that all dishes are presented correctly to maintain customer satisfaction.
In terms of takeaway orders, there seems to be some inconsistency. While most customers had positive experiences, there were a few negative comments about missing items or errors in the order. This can be frustrating for customers who are looking forward to their meal and may result in the loss of money and trust. Improving accuracy and attention to detail in takeaway orders should be a priority for the restaurant.
Another area for improvement mentioned in the comments is the delivery time for takeaway orders. Some customers received their food later than expected, which can be inconvenient, especially if they are hungry and waiting. The restaurant should aim to improve their delivery efficiency to ensure prompt and timely service.
Overall, Jays Indian @ Café Interlude has several strengths, including friendly service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. However, there are areas for improvement, such as ensuring consistent presentation, accuracy in takeaway orders, and timely delivery. Addressing these weaknesses will contribute to a better overall dining experience and increase customer satisfaction.

Best TL Reviews

Didn't expect a lovely Indian eat in and take away in the middle of an industrial estate, service was friendly, price was reasonable. Got a chicken Madras.. hot tastey and about 7 pieces of chicken. The Madras was more orange than what I normally get from other places but tasted nice.
First time eating in the restauran. Got seated and served very quickly. Friendly and polite staff. Amazing food. Our new favourite Indian restaurant, for takeaway too!
Unusual location but don't let that put you off. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
Slightly gutted it’s not about the cost, but presentation of the poppadoms tonight always look forward to our Indian take away on a Sunday as it’s always delicious .can not fault it .. Here is a picture of our popadoms when opened ..crumbled up not how we like them .. I’m sure cnt be helped gtn broken in transport but that bad is very disappointing ..
UPDATED REVIEW...
Back for a second visit.
This time was much better, we both enjoyed the meals.
Portions were very good, food was ready within a few minutes of predicted collection time.
We will return ! Really pleased to say.
Original review below.
A tasty meal.
Divided opinion of the chapati in our house. I thought it a little too thick, but my girlfriend thought it one of the best she has ever had!
Excellent flavours, well cooked.
Excessive oil in the vegetable curry which leaked.
Lentil daal was more liquid based than we are used to.
Will be back again to try other dishes.
Lovely food, reasonably priced. You sometimes want longer than expected when it is busy.
Tried several times and more often than not something is wrong or missing which is so disappointing. Waiting again for a missing item to be delivered 2 hours later. Can’t see it arriving now and so money lost. Won’t be back.
Arrived later than expected but the driver called, food arrived piping hot. One of the curry containers was damaged but not too much to complain about.
Ordered king prawn madras, lamb madras, and chicken tikka, chips, pashwari naan. Madras was amazing and pashwari dipped in it was out of this world, chips tasted double fried, they were great! Sister had the tikka and she made noises I'd rather never hear from a family member
They're surprisingly cheap too compared to other places in the area so all in all I'll definitely be using again
What a fabulous place to eat.
The service and food was top notch ☺️.
Back soon for very tasty food
