Quick Facts About Codland Fish & Chips

Codland Fish & Chips place has received mostly positive comments, highlighting its strengths in terms of portion sizes, taste, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. However, there are a few weaknesses mentioned, such as the inconvenience of not accepting card payments under £15 and issues with the preparation and packaging of the food.
One of the strengths mentioned is the generous portion sizes. Customers describe the portions as "riesen" (huge) and "perfect." This is a positive aspect for those who enjoy hearty meals or have a big appetite. It indicates that Codland provides value for money and ensures that customers leave the establishment satisfied and full.
The quality of the fish and chips is also praised. Customers specifically mention the nice taste of the chips and the deliciousness of the cod. Some even describe the chips as divine and appreciate that they are not overly salted. This indicates that Codland takes care in sourcing quality ingredients and cooking them to perfection.
Another strength mentioned is the friendly and polite staff. Customer service plays a significant role in a customer's overall dining experience. Polite and friendly staff contribute to a positive atmosphere and make customers feel welcomed and valued. This is a key strength of Codland, as mentioned by multiple customers.
Price is also highlighted as a strength. Comments mention that the prices are decent and reasonable, with cod ranging from £6-10 and chips costing around £3. Fair pricing attracts customers and ensures that the establishment remains competitive in the market.
However, there are a few weaknesses that should be addressed by Codland. One recurring issue is the inconvenience of not accepting card payments under £15. In today's digital age, many customers rely on card payments and may not carry cash. By not accepting smaller card payments, Codland may be missing out on potential customers or causing inconvenience for those who only have cards on hand. It is suggested that they consider accepting digital cards for those ad hoc visits.
Another weakness highlighted in a comment is the issue of the chips being wrapped and packed in a bag, causing them to become soft and unpleasant to eat after a short period of time. This suggests that there might be a lack of attention to detail in the preparation and packaging process. Codland should take note of this feedback and ensure that their chips are served fresh and crispy to maintain customer satisfaction.
Despite these weaknesses, the majority of the comments express high satisfaction with Codland Fish & Chips place. The positive aspects, such as the quality and taste of the food, generous portions, friendly staff, and reasonable prices, outweigh the mentioned weaknesses. With some improvements in the areas of card payments and packaging, Codland can further enhance its reputation and continue to attract and retain satisfied customers.

Nice fish and chips. Chips particularly nice. Decently priced between £6-10 for a cod and £3 or so for chips. Only annoying thing is they don’t accept cards under £15! Rarely bring cards or cash out now so would be good to just accept digital cards for those ad hoc visits.
I had a lamb kebab, it was good but it could be better, specially in terms of taste on the meats. Good salad though. The chips had been wrapped and put in a beg, thus 5 minutes later by the time we went to it, it was soft and not pleasant to eat. It would have to be a point of concern if the chefs care about serving nice and crunch chips.
This place doesn't look much but let me tell you something. These guys deliver the highest level of quality when it comes to chips. They taste divine and they don't ever drown them in salt. Their kebabs are also very delicious and there is little to no grease! Codland will always make you go back again and again! 5 stars!
Just bought kebab and chips from Codland. Such friendly, polite staff. Kebab was so nice with lots of salad and choice of sauces. Chips were amazing! Good size portions and great prices.
I ordered 50 portions of chips to go with our hot dogs for a party. Went in on the Monday to plaice the order, made payment online and text later to confirm the details. Food arrived today on the Saturday promptly. Best chip shop in Watford, highly recommend.
Came here twice within a two week period! The cod tastes amazing!! And the portion sizes are perfect. Staff are also very friendly!!
Fair reasonable prices, food is pretty nice and staff are friendly. Only thing to note is they only accept card payments for orders over £15
