Ich war vor 16 Jahren schon mal hier. Damals gab es hier leckeren Angus-Burger. Den gibt es jetzt leider nicht mehr. Trotzdem sind die Burger super. Gemütliches Pub-Ambiente !
Cracking 3 course Sunday menu. Great food, really good portions. The calamari and chicken wing starters were lush and the main course steak option was delish. Barely had room for the pudds ????.
It does get really busy so you deffo need to pre book otherwise you’ll have to try your luck as a walk in. Service can be a bit hit and miss when they are busy.
Great little restaurant bit to sit, great customer service. I gave it a 4 star as there is only 1 veggie option on the main menu (cheese and onion pie). But overall clean and loads of parking.
Absolutely brilliant tonight, phoned up about 4pm and managed to get a table for 7:30pm so that was a bonus.
The staff on arrival and throughout the evening were very polite and helpful.
The food......well.....that was amazing, I had the T-bone steak and other half had ribeye, both cooked to perfection of how we asked for it, as you can see from the picture perfect medium rare on the T-bone, the ribeye had soo much flavour to it too, the thick cut chips were really nice and properly cooked, thick cut chips in some places end up being a little undercooked in the middle....not here, 100% perfect throughout and tasty, I'd also advise on getting the peppercorn sauce too as that was the best I've ever had.
For pudding we had sticky toffe pudding with toffee sauce and custard, again soo tasty and delicious, definitely recommended if you can fit it in after a 20oz T-bone ????
Overall this experience at the King's Arms was 10/10 and would 100% recommend to anyone.
A big thumbs up ????....well done Kings Arms ????
I was so impressed with this pub. There were six of us, and we were all wowed by how great the food was. Even my 3 and 5 year old boys gobbled theirs up without any encouragement from us which is rare.
I had lamb shoulder on the Sunday lunch menu, and it was cooked to perfection. Not fatty at all and very tender. My Yorkshire pudding was homemade and enormous, and the veggies cooked just right. The portion was very generous also.
The staff were lovely and great with the kids. My youngest knocked a full drink over, and the waitress was there within seconds, clearing it all up with no drama.
The pub is warm and cosy with a nice mix of traditional and modern styles.
Would definitely recommend.
Very clean, tidy and warm feeling. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very nice beer and food was very tasty, me and my Mrs fully enjoyed our meal. Definitely go back.
Late Sunday lunch booked for 18-00 today. After a few really awful meals around Saddleworth finally somewhere where the chef knows how to cook. Roast beef Sunday lunch bottle of house red. House red was exceptional food was absolutely gorgeous. Dodger was waiting at home for his treat but the food was that nice I didn’t save him any. Sorry boy. He got some ham from the fridge so he’s happy. I can not recommend the food here enough. Sunday 08/08/21. Another fantastic meal from the kings. Thanks guys.
Live down South and whenever we come home for a visit, we always try to make it to the kings arms for lunch and a beer. Great choice of beers. The food never disappoints. The lunch menu is such good value, without any comprimise to the qaulity fresh home made plates ! Highly recommended the hot pot, this is something l would never usually order but ordered as a one off under pressure because l couldn't decide what l wanted but my goodness it is super tasty and has been my meal of choice three times in a row. Also to add this pub has excellent friendly staff. Highly recommend the kings arms.
