Quick Facts About Kingsley's

Kingsley's Place: Strengths and Weaknesses
Kingsley's Place, a popular pub in Southsea, has garnered both positive and negative feedback from its customers. In order to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment, it is necessary to analyze the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, a recurring theme among the comments is the positive atmosphere and enjoyable experience. Customers have expressed their fondness for the lovely pub and have commended the overall ambiance. The establishment is also praised for its music and dance floor, making it a favorite destination for those looking to have a fun night out. The provision of VIP booths and complimentary bottles for special occasions, such as hen parties, adds to the positive experience and goes above and beyond what is expected.
Another strength highlighted in the comments is the friendly and efficient staff. Customers have praised the service and attention received, particularly in relation to the hen parties mentioned. The owner's personal involvement in creating a tailored experience for the customers is also highly appreciated. Overall, the staff seems to have created a welcoming and enjoyable environment for patrons.
However, along with its strengths, Kingsley's Place also exhibits several weaknesses. The most prominent issue is the behavior of the landlord, as mentioned by multiple individuals. According to the comments, the landlord is easily provoked, frequently arguing with customers and showing a tendency to throw people out. The incident involving the Scottish landlord banning a customer after asking for their opinion is seen as irrational and counterproductive. This behavior creates a negative and confrontational atmosphere, which is likely to deter customers from returning to the pub.
Another weakness highlighted through the comments is the behavior of the door staff. Customers have reported instances of aggression from the door staff, including forcefully removing drinks and handling disabled individuals without sensitivity. Such behavior is unacceptable, particularly when dealing with vulnerable customers. These incidents are likely to leave customers feeling unwelcome and disrespected.
Furthermore, it is important to address the concern of the pub closing down. Although this comment does not provide specific reasoning behind the closure, it suggests a weakness in the establishment's sustainability. If the pub is closing down due to issues such as financial instability or lack of popularity, it raises questions about the long-term viability of the business.
In conclusion, Kingsley's Place has attracted both positive and negative feedback from its customers. The strengths include a lovely pub atmosphere, great music, attentive staff, and special provisions for special occasions. However, weaknesses lie in the behavior of the landlord and door staff, with instances of aggression and mistreatment reported. Additionally, the potential closure of the pub raises concerns about its long-term viability. These weaknesses should be addressed in order to improve the overall customer experience and ensure the ongoing success of the establishment.

Lovely pub . Done out nice. But landlord just seemed intent in arguing with everyone and throwing people out .
We watched him chuck a guy out who didn't even get to the bar coz he said he didn't look right
And at the end of the night a man took his empties up and said he'd enjoyed himself but would probably watch football elsewhere as he liked to hear the commentary.
Well all of a sudden the Scottish landlord went mad and banned him
Absolutely crazy
What is the point in asking the man his opinion and then banning him .
Love the pub but won't be going back while he's there
Hi ya Steve Me and my friends came to your Club Saturday just gone for the first time and we was not very happy with how we got treated by your Door Staff and they did not give us time to drink are drinks and they knocked one of my friends drinks out of his hand which I don't think we was right at all and partly carried him out. Then also my other mate who got chucked out he was Disabled and he told the Women Door Staff that and she just said don't play the Disabled card on her but you can see he is Disabled all down one side of his body but like I have said we are not very happy at all with how we was treated for are first time coming in your Club ok.
Booked 2 VIP booths for my hen do and had an absolutely wonderful time. Prosecco with sparklers and a shot to start with and the owner came over to personally ask me what song I’d like played. Love the music and it’s the one place I don’t feel like an old granny!
Absolutely excellent highly recommended. Great atmosphere no trouble at all. They even bought the hen a free bottle. Thank you for a great night
