Quick Facts About Lahori Dera

Lahori Dera is a restaurant in Manchester that specializes in authentic Pakistani food. Based on the comments provided, there are several strengths and weaknesses associated with the place.
One of the main strengths of Lahori Dera is the delicious and authentic Pakistani food they serve. Many customers praise the taste and flavor of the dishes, highlighting the restaurant as the most authentic Pakistani food in Manchester. This is a significant strength for Lahori Dera as it sets them apart from other Pakistani restaurants in the area. Additionally, customers also mentioned that the food is reasonably priced, offering good value for money. This is an important strength as customers are satisfied with the quality and quantity of food they receive in relation to the price they pay.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the beautiful decoration of the restaurant. Although there are wishes for more seating places, the current setting is appreciated for being aesthetically pleasing. This adds to the overall dining experience and creates a pleasant atmosphere for customers.
In terms of weaknesses, there are several aspects that need improvement at Lahori Dera. One customer mentions that the customer service could be much improved, specifically highlighting discomfort with waiters staring at females while they're eating. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed as it affects the overall dining experience and makes customers feel uncomfortable. Improving customer service skills and addressing any inappropriate behavior is crucial in order to maintain a positive reputation.
Another weakness mentioned is the problem with parking. Customers state that parking is an issue due to the restaurant being located on a main road and lack of markings in front of the shops. This inconvenience can discourage potential customers from visiting the restaurant or cause frustration for those who have to spend time searching for parking spaces. Lahori Dera should consider finding a solution to the parking problem by providing clear signage or alternative parking options.
One comment also criticizes the consistency of the food. While the customer usually enjoys the food at Lahori Dera, on this particular visit, they noticed a lack of spice. Consistency is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction, and any deviations from the usual quality should be addressed promptly.
Another weakness pointed out is the poor phone order experience. A customer mentions that their order was given to someone else, and they were expected to wait an additional 30 minutes for their food. This lack of organization and miscommunication reflects poorly on the restaurant's management and can lead to frustrated customers. Improving the phone ordering process and ensuring accurate and timely orders is necessary to provide a better customer experience.
Furthermore, another customer highlights a decline in the quality of the food over multiple visits. They express disappointment in the fish dish, stating that it has become tasteless. Consistency and maintaining the quality of the dishes are essential for retaining customers and attracting new ones. Lahori Dera should address any issues with the food preparation to regain customer trust.
In conclusion, Lahori Dera has several strengths such as delicious and authentic Pakistani food, good value for money, and a beautifully decorated ambiance. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, including poor customer service, parking problems, inconsistency in food quality and spice levels, and mismanagement of phone orders. By addressing these weaknesses, Lahori Dera can improve the overall dining experience and continue to attract and satisfy customers.

Food was delicious and the most authentic Pakistani food in Manchester. Good value of money. I wish they have more sitting places but current one is beautifully decorated.
Highly recommended!
Food is reasonable but way over priced for what you get. The other issue is that the customer service could be much improved, in particular not too comfortable with having waiters staring at females whilst they're eating.
Really enjoyed the food traditions flavour nice clean place fast service price very reasonable love nehari. Parking a problem
Great food as always. I've been coming here over the years and always enjoyed it. This visit we had kebabs and chops for starters and both chicken and lamb karahi with fresh tandoori naan. Kebabs were lovely succulent and tasty, chops were a bit over cooked for my taste. Still plenty tasty however. On to the star of the show.. very succulent meat, both chicken and lamb, the meat comes out on the karahi and they put that down on your table.
It adds a nice little bit of theatre. The food usually has an array of spices and really gets the taste buds going. It was only after speaking to my wife did I realise that it was a little lacking in the spice department this time round for some reason. Still a great tasting meal. Would really recommend as one of the places you need to try if visiting Manchester. Likewise of you're hosting out of towners. Consistently good. 5stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Shocking customer service, place is ran by T.P.’s Who have no customer service skills. Made a phone order and on arrival told me they had given it to someone else.
What kind of service is that. Shocking. Expecting me to then wait another 30 mins while they cook again. No thanks.
On previous visits they always say food will be ready in 20 mins but never is. Always get there after 20 mins and it ends up taking another 20 mins. Typical back home behaviour.
Wont be returning thats a fact.

Nice karahi and starters. Nothing that made me say wow but good, decent food. The tandoori roti deserves a mention for being perfect.
I didn't pay for the meal so unsure of pricing, the menu in-store does not display prices either.
Was visiting Manchester on a day trip and asked friend for a recommendation for desi food.
I am glad he referred Lahori Dera. Gem of a restaurant. We ordered 'Nihari', 'Cholay' and 'Kofta', all three dishes were perfect and the roti (bread) was fresh. Staff was courteous and order was served quickly. It is more of a fast food style so the food is already prepared but it tasted fresh. Seating capacity is limited. There is a toilet behind the front counter which was clean as well.
Parking can be an issue as it is on main road. There are no markings infront of the shops so it was easy for us to park infront of the restaurant.Overall good experience and definately will visit again and would recommend to friends and family.
