Quick Facts About Lighthouse Fisheries of Flamborough

Lighthouse Fisheries of Flamborough Place seems to have several strengths according to the comments. One of the main strengths highlighted is the quality of the food. Multiple reviewers mentioned that the fish was fresh and melt-in-the-mouth, and the chips were hot, chunky, and crispy on the outside. This consistently positive feedback on the taste and texture of the food suggests that Lighthouse Fisheries takes care in using high-quality ingredients and preparing them well.
Another strength mentioned by reviewers is the friendly and helpful staff. Customers appreciated the welcoming and pleasant service they received. This positive experience with the staff contributes to a pleasant overall dining experience and may encourage customers to return in the future.
The cleanliness of the shop also stands out as a strength. Customers commented on the shop being brightly lit and clean, which adds to the positive impression of the establishment. A clean and well-maintained environment can make customers feel more comfortable and confident in the quality of the food they are consuming.
Additionally, the prices were mentioned as being reasonable and consistent with expectations. This indicates that Lighthouse Fisheries offers good value for money, which can attract customers and contribute to customer satisfaction.
The availability of seating in the courtyard behind the chippy was also seen as a positive aspect of the establishment. Having picnic tables and benches provides customers with the option to enjoy their meal on-site without the need to mess up their cars. This additional seating area adds to the overall convenience and appeal of the establishment.
Despite the strengths mentioned, there are a few weaknesses that were highlighted. One customer mentioned that the chips were a bit greasy. While this was regarded as a minor gripe and not worth removing a star, it is still important feedback for the establishment. Lighthouse Fisheries may want to pay attention to this feedback and consider making adjustments to ensure that their chips are less greasy.
Another reviewer mentioned that the peas they received were cold. Although they did not alert the staff and the rest of their meal was enjoyable, this feedback suggests that there may be room for improvement in terms of temperature control for certain items. Lighthouse Fisheries may want to ensure that all elements of their meals are consistently served at the appropriate temperature.
Additionally, there was some confusion regarding the presence of a restaurant. One customer mentioned that they were disillusioned into believing there was a restaurant, only to find out that there was not one on the premises. This discrepancy may indicate a lack of clear communication on the part of Lighthouse Fisheries. They may want to clarify the dining options available to avoid any potential disappointment or misunderstanding among customers.
In conclusion, Lighthouse Fisheries of Flamborough Place has several strengths that contribute to a positive dining experience. The quality of the food, friendly staff, cleanliness, reasonable prices, and additional seating options all work in favor of the establishment. However, there are a few weaknesses such as greasy chips, cold peas, and potential confusion about dining options that could be addressed to further improve the overall experience for customers.

Not our regular chippy as we found ourselves away from home at tea time!
The staff are friendly and there was no wait.
The fish was fresh and melt-in-the-mouth. The chips were hot, chunky and crispy on the outside.
The prices are what you'd expect.
The shop is brightly lit and clean.
My only little gripe (and it is only a little one, not worth removing a star!) was that the chips were a bit greasy.
Awesome ???? ???? ????, probably nop definitely the best fish ???? and chips ???? we have had since we had fish ???? and chips ???? in Bizzy Lizzies in Skipton last year. You guys have toppled them off prime position on my list........well done. Fresh produce, amazing batter, chips crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wanted a light tea, and spotted they did a small fish. Got one with a bread roll. Amazing fish, fresh roll, and a great price. As someone famous once said, "I'll be back".
Excellent fish accompanied by real chips. Had to have mushy peas too. None of your French fries, namby pamby, continental nonsense here! Their home made Tartare sauce was lovely. This place is like a Yorkshire ???? gold mine. Really good service and plenty of space to expand your waistlines at the back of the chippy in the yard equipped with picnic tables and benches if you don't fancy messing your car up. This Yorkshireman came all the way from Manchester for this. 'Nuff said.
Very pleasant and helpful staff in a very clean, pleasing takeaway. Good selection of options along side the fish though we stayed traditional and selected a large haddock accompanied by chips, peas and curry sauce. Fish was coated in he best batter I have had in a long while; light and crispy. The chips were crispy and golden. Again, the best I have tasted. Curry was great but the peas were cold. We did not alert the staff to this but I'm sure they would have sorted this if we had. We ate in little court yard behind the chippy having the place to ourselves. All in all a very enjoyable meal and surprise.
Beautiful, fresh fish and chips. Had lightly battered haddock which was cooked upon arrival, the queue was long but went down fast, the chips were really tasty. The inside of the chippy was spotlessly clean too. Probably one of the best chippy teas that I've had. Would definitely return.
The haddock was pretty good and the large seemed more reasonably priced over a standard size. The chips were okay not all perfect, but then what fish and chips ever are. We were disillusioned into believing there was a restaurant here, (but the reason for that is trusting other reviewers as they clearly have it wrong according to the owner and yes the website doesn't mention a restaurant). However, you can once you've purchased something eat out the back either under cover in the open, but not recommended on a chilly evening. We actually decided to go eat them over looking the sea. Oh when we opened the box about 5 to 10 minutes later they were still pretty hot, as in like fresh out the fryer hot.
