This is how I walked out. There’s white gel on my skin, dip on my cuticles, barely cut my cuticles, didn’t clean under my toe nails. I feel like it was all very rushed. The man who did my nails reeked of cigarettes and was telling me I couldn’t put nail extension under my dip and that I shouldn’t have done it previously because it’s a waste of time. On the bright side, he did give me wine.
Made an appointment through Booksy for a full set with gel polish. I was directed back to the gentleman at station 10. Right away he let me know I was his last appt of the day and after me, he could leave. From the jump, he was aggressive with the electric file, and was not at all careful with where he was going and how hard he was pressing.
After applying the acrylic, he used a pointed attachment on the file to clean underneath the tips, causing multiple fingers to bleed. He was also aggressive with the regular file shaving away skin on several fingers as shown below. The file also appeared to have been used on several other guests, so I’m hoping nothing will become infected.
Throughout the appointment, the gentleman also asked me to turn around and check the time, and told me he had an appointment to get to at 3:00. You can see in the pictures the shape of the nails are not consistent, and the color looks different on each hand. Sloppy and careless.
When I went to pay, I was told the price was $50 although the cost that was shown on Booksy said $35. Even if I misunderstood, and there was an additional $10 charge for gel, I’m not sure where they got the $50?
I genuinely hate leaving bad reviews, but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon, and I wish I could find even one positive thing to say. Based on other reviews, it sounds like there are many good techs at this salon, but I am so disgusted by my experience it would be hard for me to return even to someone else. Poor quality, poor service, terrible experience.
I went to this nail salon because my usual one was closed for remodeling. I read the reviews first and they mostly seemed positive, so I gave it a shot. I just wanted a gel manicure which was easy enough so I wasn’t too picky. Maybe I’ve been spoiled at my usual place, but this just wasn’t worth at all what I normally pay and was even $3 over what my usual place charges me for services I was not pleased with. The tech was way too harsh on my nails with the sanding tools. I literally sat there in pain, not wanting to say anything because i just desperately needed my nails done for an event. Once I got over that, to be very fair she did a good job shaping and filing my nails, but a terrible job painting them. Probably the worst job a person has ever done painting my nails at a nail salon. I got two bumpy coats that are already chipping only three days later (again, I got gel specifically so they’d last). At this point, I wish I would’ve painted them myself.
Overall, I hate to complain because I realize we are in a tough economy. However, I think it’d be unfair for someone else to waste their hard earned money on this place. Will not be returning and will be back at my other place to have them fixed the second they open.
If I could figure out how to add a picture, I would. I cannot express how unhappy I am, especially considering that this is the one luxury (no pun intended) I allow myself. What a waste.
I want to start by saying I LOVE Chi and Jimmy. They are amazing. The salon overall is awesome. With that said tonight I was there and they had elevator music playing. It was HORRIBLE!!! I have been going to Luxury Nails for 9 years, beyond loving them I love how upbeat and happy it is. Today everyone was very blah and it was far from a happy atmosphere. Bring back the upbeat happiness!!! Today was torture for me and my daughter!!
I was recommended from the sister salon in PBURG. If you’re looking for anything more then simple do not go there as they don’t have the tools, extras(gems/stickers) or experience. Techs were kind and honest. I left with unfinished hands- the only thing she did was file off the previous set- but would not accept reimbursement. Not even for her time. Very understanding and didn’t get salty that I chose to go elsewhere. Place was clean. No strong chemical odor. Any simple service would absolutely have gotten a 10/10.
My first time here and Kelly did an amazing job!! Loved the color choices; they have matching regular nail color with the gel color already. The place is very pretty inside too!

Salon is luxurious. Massage chair is most relaxing.
I made an appointment online and was taken 25 minutes after my appointment. Just know it is a cash only place. When booking it should note that it is cash only. Sitting in the waiting lounge, the windowsills were very dusty and there were a lot of cobwebs. I wanted regular nail polish and my nail technician was very pushy to get an upsale which made me feel a little uncomfortable. My nails do look beautiful overall.
