Quick Facts About Lynne's Chippy
Lynne's Chippy place has received overwhelmingly positive comments from customers. It is praised for having the best fish and chips around, always delivering consistent quality, and for providing top-notch service. The fish and chip sizes are also highlighted as being impressive for the price charged. Additionally, the chippy is commended for its fresh and non-soggy chips.
One of the strengths of Lynne's Chippy is its reputation for being the best fish and chip place in the area. This positive word-of-mouth and loyal customer base contribute to its success. The fact that it doesn't change, maintaining its high standards consistently, is another strength. Customers can rely on the food being delicious and the prices being reasonable.
The friendly and polite staff also contribute to the chippy's strengths. The interaction between the employees and customers is praised, making the experience enjoyable and welcoming. The mention of Lynne's old-fashioned service highlights a unique aspect of their business that sets them apart from modern establishments.
Another strength is that the chippy is open on specific days, which may create a sense of exclusivity and anticipation for customers who can only visit on those days. This limited availability may contribute to the perceived quality and demand for their food.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive comments, there is one comment mentioning that the fish seemed a little dry with a hard, dark batter. This could be considered a weakness of Lynne's Chippy, as it indicates potential inconsistency in the preparation of their fish. It is mentioned that there are several better fish and chip shops in close proximity, suggesting that Lynne's Chippy needs to improve to compete with these establishments.
In terms of opportunity, Lynne's Chippy has room to raise their game and improve the quality of their fish and chips. By addressing the issue of dry fish and hard batter, they can attract even more customers and establish themselves as the undisputed best in the area. This would help them stand out from the competition and build an even stronger reputation.
Overall, Lynne's Chippy has many strengths, including its reputation for the best fish and chips, consistent quality, friendly service, and reasonable prices. However, the mention of one negative experience highlights an area for improvement. With some adjustments, Lynne's Chippy can solidify its position as the go-to fish and chip place in Mexborough.

Always very tasty food and the ladies that work here are always very polite to me and the other customers.
The fish sizes are astonishing for the price charged. And the chips are always freshly made and NOT soggy or burnt like some chip shops serve.
I really enjoy going here, even though it is only open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday morning and afternoon and Saturday morning, please visit this chippy and support local businesses.
I am NOT affiliated with this business, I am just a loyal customer

Best fish and chips around cooked fresh when you enter shop
Proper chippy!! Delicious food, freshly cooked and all delivered with a friendly smile and a farewell. Lynne's old fashioned service and very reasonable prices are a rapidly fading part of modern life, however as you simply can't beat good customer service so we'll definitely be going back!!
Fish seemed a little dry and the batter was hard rather than crunchy and a little dark. I suspect the oil was a little too hot. The chips were ok but nothing special. With several better Fish and Chips shops in close proximity they really need to raise their game if they want people queuing out the door.
