Quick Facts About M&S CAFÉ

M&S Café has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In terms of strengths, one customer mentions that the café is convenient and handy, indicating that it is easily accessible and located within a retail store. This is beneficial for customers who may be shopping and want to take a break to have a meal or drink. Additionally, the café offers a good choice of food at affordable prices, which is important for customers looking for value for money.
The quality and taste of the food also appear to be a strength, with positive comments about dishes such as smashed avocado on sourdough bread and falafel halloumi wrap. The café is praised for serving hot and fresh food, indicating that they prioritize quality and freshness. The scone, clotted cream, and jam are specifically mentioned as being amazing, which suggests that M&S Café excels in providing delightful desserts.
Customer service is another strength of the café, with comments about polite staff and good service. This is crucial for creating a positive dining experience and ensuring customer satisfaction. Friendly and helpful staff can contribute to a pleasant atmosphere and encourage customers to return.
Despite its strengths, there are some weaknesses highlighted by the comments as well. One customer criticizes the lack of flavor in the food, describing it as bland and comparing it unfavorably to a microwave meal. This suggests that although the café provides a good variety of food, the taste may not always live up to expectations.
Another weakness mentioned by a customer is the small portion sizes and high prices. They mention that the coffee is served in a small cup but at a high cost, indicating a lack of value for money. This may make customers feel like they are not getting enough for what they pay.
Furthermore, there is a negative comment about a rude and abrupt sales lady who needs additional training in customer service. This highlights a potential issue with staff professionalism and customer interaction, which can negatively affect the overall dining experience.
A customer also mentions some issues with the café's operations, specifically regarding soup and chips. They express disappointment that soup is not served in open bowls, making it difficult for them to feed their child. Additionally, the customer criticizes the chips for not being fresh, possibly being reheated from earlier in the day. This indicates potential issues with food preparation and quality control.
In conclusion, M&S Café has several strengths, including convenience, a good choice of food at affordable prices, tasty dishes, and friendly staff. However, there are also weaknesses, such as the lack of flavor in some dishes, small portion sizes and high prices, potential issues with staff behavior, and operational issues with soup and chips. These strengths and weaknesses should be considered when evaluating the overall dining experience at M&S Café.

Handy cafe
My experience is great on eating in at M&S cafe. Great choice of food, good price and tasty. I had smashed avocado on sourdough bread previously and it was very good. Today had lunch during my break from work, and ordered Falafel halloumi wrap, oh it was lovely ???? Served hot and fresh. For drink/dessert I went for salted caramel frappe. It was good but nothing extra special. Overall, staff are polite and good service.
Mocha was nice and I had the sausage ciabatta! Dad the eggs, and was very happy. Can’t go wrong with M&S
Food Is disgusting no real actual flavour just bland a microwave meal would taste better. Thee pot of tea you get is so small and taste of nothing. So for the price you pay may aswell buy a cup of tea with no flavour.
Coffee is served in smallest cup possible, but not at a small price ! And a very rude and abrupt sales lady, that needs extra training in how to behave.
Very busy cafe upstairs, lift available, in retail store. Toilet facilities and 3 hours free parking for shopping instore and other retailers. Friendly staff
The scone, clotted cream and jam is amazing ❤️ ❤️
I don't know why but apparently they don't serve soup in open bowls. Just take away cups. Took the soup a long time to cool down for me to feed my little one. The chips weren't fresh, probably made earlier in the day and reheated before serving. I'm disappointed. This isn't like M&S.
