Quick Facts About The Codfather
The Codfather fish and chip shop has received a mix of positive and negative comments. Let's start by discussing the strengths based on the positive feedback.
One of the strengths of The Codfather is their fantastic fish and chips. Multiple comments mention the freshness of the fish and the proper portion size. This indicates that the shop takes pride in sourcing high-quality ingredients and providing customers with generous servings. The deliciousness of the chips is also mentioned, suggesting that the shop pays attention to the quality and taste of their fries.
Another strength of The Codfather is their friendly and welcoming staff. Customers appreciate the warm and professional service provided by the employees. This creates a positive dining experience and ensures that customers feel comfortable and well taken care of.
The reasonable pricing is another strength mentioned in one of the comments. This indicates that The Codfather offers good value for money and attracts customers with affordable prices, especially considering the quality of the food.
Now let's move on to the weaknesses based on the negative feedback.
One weakness mentioned is the use of pre-packaged chips instead of freshly made ones. This can be seen as a disappointment for customers who expect authentic, hand-cut chips from a traditional fish and chip shop. By using pre-packaged chips, The Codfather may sacrifice the quality and taste of their fries.
Another weakness is the issue with an incorrect order and missing condiments. One customer mentioned that they didn't receive salt and vinegar with their chips. This suggests a lack of attention to detail and a failure to meet customer expectations in terms of condiments and accompaniments. Additionally, another customer reported receiving a partially battered sausage and finding a bone in their daughter's food. These incidents reflect poorly on the quality control and overall food preparation standards at The Codfather.
A long queue and wait times are also mentioned as weaknesses. Waiting for about 30 minutes for a takeaway order can be frustrating, especially if customers expect quick service. The Codfather may need to improve their efficiency and speed up the ordering process to reduce waiting times and improve customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, The Codfather has several strengths, including fantastic fish and chips, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing. However, the use of pre-packaged chips, issues with incorrect orders and missing condiments, and long wait times are weaknesses that should be addressed to provide a consistently positive dining experience for customers. By addressing these weaknesses, The Codfather can further establish itself as a top-notch fish and chip shop.

Przy najbliższej okazji będę jadł tu znowu ????
We decided to get a lovely chippy for a treat , however today we were disappointed at the codfather . The chips definitely were not real chippy chips but from packs . We asked for salt and vinegar but did not get and the sausage was not battered fully and when we bit into it was grisly and my daughter found a part of bone in hers. To top that I had to tell
The woman three times what we wanted to order . Sorry codfather you used to Be good not anymore .
Best fish and chips my wife and I have had in a very long time... Real taste of a proper chippy.. Excellent service and very reasonably priced ????
Firstly what a great name and logo of they batter anything ????????????. I had the biggest and best bit of fish I've ever had from a chippy along with the loveliest staff especially Georgia. It was so good I went back again. Thankyou from a very happy visitor from the mainland. X
Awesome chips. Cones are great value for a beach side snack.
Ordered haddock and chips, nothing really special though. Chips were good (mixture of crispy and soft), batter was crunchy, and fish portion was reasonable for the price.
Only take away was the long queue, I had to wait for about 30minutes (give or take).
A really great place to buy fish and chips and has a really good menu. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.
