Quick Facts About Borras Park Fish Bar

Borras Park Fish Bar has received both positive and negative feedback, which can help identify its strengths and weaknesses.
Starting with the strengths, it is clear that some customers have had positive experiences with the food and service at Borras Park Fish Bar. One customer mentions that it is the best chippy in Wrexham and wouldn't go anywhere else. Another customer appreciates the improvement to the shop and menus, as well as the quick and efficient service even during busy periods. The freshly cooked fish and chips are also praised as being great and delicious. This suggests that the establishment has the potential to provide quality food and good customer service.
However, there are also several weaknesses that have been pointed out by customers. One recurring issue is the decline in the quality of the food. Customers have mentioned that the chips were not cooked enough, causing them to clump on the chip paper. Additionally, there have been complaints about the fish being overcooked and dry, potentially due to it being double dipped or prepared in advance. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the cooking process and quality control, leading to a decline in the overall food quality.
Another weakness highlighted by a customer is the lack of gluten-free options for coeliacs. This is a missed opportunity for the establishment to cater to a larger audience and provide more inclusive options. The customer suggests that it would not take much effort to have a separate fryer for gluten-free chips and use readily available gluten-free batter. This indicates a lack of effort or consideration in accommodating dietary restrictions.
Furthermore, there is a comment about the quality of the kebabs being subpar and lacking flavor. The customer states that there are better quality kebabs available elsewhere, indicating that Borras Park Fish Bar may not be competitive in terms of the kebab offerings. The mention of the kebab meat tasting like nothing and the lack of flavor in the chips suggests a potential issue with the seasoning or preparation of the food.
Additionally, there are comments about the price being a bit high, especially for the fish and chips. One customer mentions that it costs £6.10, which they consider to be pricey. While another customer acknowledges the higher price but believes it is worth the extra cost for the delicious food. This indicates that the prices may deter some potential customers who are looking for more affordable options.
Finally, there was a complaint about the chips being soggy, potentially indicating an inconsistency in the cooking process or insufficient draining of the oil.
Overall, the strengths of Borras Park Fish Bar lie in the positive experiences some customers have had with the food and service. However, it is evident that there are weaknesses in the food quality, inconsistency in the cooking process, lack of gluten-free options, and high prices. These areas need improvement to enhance the overall experience and attract a wider customer base.

What has happened to Borras Chippy? I've had many take outs from Borras Chippy in the past, In the last 12 months or so something has changed? The quality of food provided has dropped in my opinion. There was an issue with how the chips were being fried, they were not cooked enough, causing them to clump on the chip paper, this issue seems to have been sorted now by leaving the chips in the fryer a little longer. There has been an issue with the fish on my last two visits, they appear to have been 'double dipped' potentially from lunchtime? The batter was dark brown in colour, the fish inside was very dry, I don't know what has happened to the quality of the food? I pass 2 fish and chip shops on my way to Borras Chippy but as I have usually enjoyed the food I don't mind to travel to Borras, no more I'm afraid.
This is the best chippy in Wrexham! Wouldn’t go anywhere else top food and great service. The place to go if you’re in the area for sure!
My husband and his family enjoys meals here, but I am a coeliac (gluten free) and unfortunately I am not catered for in this chippie. It's easy enough to cater for coeliac (lots of us about too) all you need is a small separate fyrer for the chips, and gf batter, readily available. Little effort will allow so many more people to enjoy a local traditional fish and chips. I hope to see them on the menu soon!
If you like the cheapest kebab meat and chips that tastes of nothing come here. You can source so much better quality kebabs that have proper lamb content and spices than sell this stuff. And what ever kind of potato the chips are made from ( again no flavour even with the garlic mayo added ) shame.
It's been some time since I have been here until yesterday. The improvement to the shop and menus are good. The order was completed quickly and efficiently and with a smile even though it was very busy and the weather was hot. Great fish and chips all freshly cooked
Bit pricey but worth that little bit extra. Fish and chips £6.10 but Delicious. But the nicest thing on the menu in my opinion is by far the home made Chicken Curry. It comes in a plastic tub like you would get a chow mein in, from the Chinese so you can get your chips separately only last time I asked you couldn't get boiled rice which would set that curry right off, but hey ho it is a fish and chip shop. The chips are always lovely too. 9/10.
Used to be nice and the kebabs nice but not tonight. Kebabs was awful. Used be be made with fresh chunky lettuce and onion but tonight it was bought from a supermarket as the onions were those tiny chopped slimy things. If I wanted a frozen qud kebab I would have got from supermarket. Revolting and still repeating on me now.
Not good this time chips were soggy probably from v afternoon
