Quick Facts About Mad Hatter Coffee Shop

Mad Hatter Coffee Shop is a well-established establishment in Belfast, known for its traditional Ulster Fry and warm atmosphere. The comments left by customers provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the coffee shop.
One of the main strengths highlighted in the comments is the quality of the food. Customers consistently mention that the breakfast options, particularly the Ulster Fry, were delicious and reasonably priced. The fact that customers have been coming to the Mad Hatter since their student days speaks to the consistent quality and taste of the food. This is a significant strength for the coffee shop as it indicates that they have managed to maintain high standards over the years.
Another strength mentioned is the "lovely wee spot" and the welcoming atmosphere. The comments emphasize that the staff at Mad Hatter are friendly and pleasant, providing a positive customer experience. The mention of "good craic" indicates that the coffee shop has a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, which can be a major draw for customers looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience.
Cleanliness is also mentioned as a strength. Multiple comments highlight the spotless clean environment of the coffee shop, including the toilets. This attention to cleanliness helps create a positive impression on customers and contributes to a pleasant dining experience.
The Mad Hatter's ability to accommodate dietary restrictions, specifically gluten-free options, is also seen as a strength. Customers appreciate the availability of options that cater to their specific dietary needs. This inclusivity can attract a wider customer base and promote positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
On the other hand, there are some weaknesses that are mentioned in the comments. One customer noted that the coffee at Mad Hatter was not to their liking, particularly finding the flat white to be overly foamy. This indicates that there may be room for improvement in their coffee offerings. While the coffee may not be a major focus of the coffee shop, it is still important for them to consider satisfying a range of tastes and preferences.
Although the comments overwhelmingly express positive experiences, one customer mentioned that the Mad Hatter is more suited for quick and easy breakfast foods rather than fancy or trendy options. This could be viewed as a weakness for customers seeking a more gourmet or unique dining experience. However, for those looking for a comfortable and casual environment, this characteristic may be seen as a strength.
Overall, the comments paint a picture of Mad Hatter Coffee Shop as a beloved local spot with a strong focus on delivering delicious and reasonably priced food. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere are key strengths, along with the emphasis on cleanliness and the accommodation of dietary restrictions. While the coffee offerings and lack of fancy options may be seen as weaknesses by some, the overall positive customer experiences indicate that Mad Hatter Coffee Shop is a popular and dependable choice for a satisfying meal.

I've been coming here since I was a student. A pretty big range, but, importantly, a proper Ulster Fry on offer. Lovely staff, and proper wholesome, old school Belfast. Welcoming and good craic.
Fry's were delicious, reasonably priced, lovely wee spot with nice staff too, will be back ????
Called at the Mad Hatter but it is in the process of being revamped, and it looks really class. Am really looking forward to it reopening.
Ahhhh, it’s now opened and I had to treat myself to a “Hatter fry”. It’s was fresh tasty, plenty, delicious and no grease on the plate. First class.
The staff were very pleasant and the place spotlessly clean as were the toilets.
Would highly recommend.
Visited the Mad Hatter on Monday to meet my friend for lunch whom I hadn't seen since before Covid. Was my first time at the mad hatter cafe and I was very impressed. They also provided meals for a private function for me back in August and it was really second to none. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this hidden gem.
Great place for breakfast and helpful staff. Very pleased with gluten free options. Would highly recommend. Hope to visit again soon.
Lovely food, staff were very efficient and friendly. Good atmosphere ????
A good place to grab quick, easy & comfort breakfast foods. Nothing fancy or trendy but quite relaxed and comfortable environment. I didn't like their coffee though. Flat white was VERY foamy.
I was suitably impressed with this cafe. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I ended up getting a sausage, egg and rasher on a bap and it was excellent. I’d return for sure as the tea was great as well.
Finally to say it was very quick and extremely reasonable.
