Quick Facts About Blues Fish Bar

Blues Fish Bar has several strengths that make it stand out among other fish and chip places. Firstly, many reviewers praise the quality and taste of the fish and chips, stating that they are the best around. This indicates that the food is consistently good and of high quality. Additionally, the fish is always made to order, ensuring freshness and avoiding the use of warming ovens. This attention to detail in the cooking process contributes to the overall positive dining experience.
Another strength mentioned is the friendly and kind owner. This suggests that the staff at Blues Fish Bar provide excellent customer service, making customers feel welcome and valued. This personal touch can greatly enhance the dining experience and make customers want to return.
The reasonable pricing is also highlighted as a strength by some reviewers. While there are mentions of recent price increases, customers generally feel that the quality of the food justifies the cost. This indicates that the value for money is perceived as good by most customers.
Blues Fish Bar's decision to accept contactless payment is also seen as a strength. This shows that the establishment is adapting to modern technology and providing convenience for customers who prefer cashless transactions.
One reviewer specifically mentions that the fish and chips are cooked to order, but expresses a concern about long waiting times during busy periods. This can be seen as both a strength and a weakness. On one hand, cooking to order ensures freshness and allows for customization. On the other hand, long waiting times can be frustrating for customers, especially during peak hours. This is something that Blues Fish Bar could potentially address by considering pre-cooking some items during busy periods to reduce wait times.
The portion size is also mentioned as a strength, with one reviewer describing it as perfect. This suggests that customers feel they are getting a satisfying amount of food for their money.
There is a mention of the crisp batter and lovely fish, indicating that the quality of the cooking is consistently good.
In terms of weaknesses, one reviewer mentions that the opening hours posted online are not accurate, as the establishment was closed earlier than stated on multiple occasions. This indicates a lack of consistency in terms of operating hours and can be frustrating for customers who rely on accurate information.
While there are no other specific weaknesses mentioned, the comment about not minding the wait suggests that the wait times at Blues Fish Bar may be longer than some customers would prefer. This could potentially be seen as a weakness, particularly during busy periods.
In conclusion, Blues Fish Bar has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation, including high-quality food, friendly service, reasonable pricing, and a personal touch. However, there are a few areas, such as accuracy in operating hours and potential wait times, that could be improved upon to further enhance the overall dining experience.

Best TL Reviews

The fish and chips are always the best around. The fish is always made to order they never have fish waiting in the warming ovens. The only grumble I have is the price has gone up quite much recently which I guess with the current global climate you can expect but I'd still like to think I would get change from a £10 for fish, chips, curry sauce and a sausage. But then again you get what you pay for and what you get is quality, lovely service and a full belly. They don't charge for scraps or bits however you want to call them. They also now take contactless payment as well as cash.
Absolutely fantastic. All dishes are authentic and delicious. The owner is friendly and kind, Reasonable price but you get five-star gourmet experience. Highly recommended!
The place does excellent Fish and Chips. My only issue is everything is cooked to order. I know I'm being picky, as the food is great, but it's generally busy at lunch and teatime. Just throw some fish in at those times. 5 mins feels like an eternity in a hot cramped fish shop. Cook to order when it's quiet
Delicious Fish and chips, perfect portion size. Lovely lady serving.
Just called in to Blues after watching my grandson playing football in the freezing cold. Fish and chips both cooked to order and as we're only up the road both were still nice and hot. My wife said she hasn't had as nice for a long time and said that's the only place I'll be going from now on. Really nice crisp batter and lovely fish.
Best fish and chips around
Fish and chips are lovely but don’t pay attention to the opening hours. It says they close at 19:00 on a Saturday but I’ve now been 3 times at 18:00 and each time it’s been closed. The owners have learnt to batter fish but not quite mastered how to use a clock!
If you don't mind waiting but good grub not over priced
