Quick Facts About Mango's Keighley
Mango's Keighley place has received a number of negative reviews and criticisms from customers. These comments mention various weaknesses and shortcomings of the establishment, including the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience. However, before delving into these weaknesses, it is important to note that the comments also mention a few strengths, such as the price point and the friendliness of some staff members.
Starting with the weaknesses, the most common complaint appears to be regarding the quality of the food. Multiple customers reported issues with the taste, texture, and preparation of the dishes. Some specific complaints include reheated and rubbery chips, undercooked battered chicken, a curry that tasted like water with week-old chicken, and a pizza that tasted like cardboard. Customers were disappointed with the lack of spice and flavors in the dishes, which is a significant weakness for an establishment that serves Indian cuisine. The quality of the starters, such as onion bhajis and chicken pakora, was also criticized for being greasy and poorly prepared. The sundries, including bread, were described as microwave-like and lacking the desired texture. Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the inconsistency in the menu, particularly the absence of Asian-style sweets but the availability of English-style sweets, indicating a lack of clear vision.
In addition to the issues with the food, customers expressed dissatisfaction with the service provided by Mango's Keighley place. One common complaint was the long waiting times for food delivery. Several customers reported waiting over two hours for their orders, which is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. Some customers also mentioned that the staff provided false information about the whereabouts of the delivery driver, indicating a lack of honesty and communication. In terms of customer service within the establishment, there were reports of rude and unhelpful behavior from staff members. One customer described an encounter with a staff member who responded sarcastically and rudely when the customer expressed urgency due to the delay. Another customer mentioned an incident where the staff member started shouting sarcastically about the customer's rush. Such behavior is unprofessional and contributes to a negative experience for customers.
The comments also highlight weaknesses related to the physical environment of the establishment. One customer mentioned the crazy slippery floor, which was also acknowledged by the waitress. This poses a safety risk and should be addressed promptly.
Moving on to the strengths mentioned in the comments, some customers appreciated the price point of Mango's Keighley place. It was seen as fair and reasonable, especially in comparison to other establishments. Additionally, some customers noted that certain staff members were friendly and provided prompt service. These positives should not be disregarded, but it is evident that they are overshadowed by the weaknesses and negative experiences reported by multiple customers.
In conclusion, Mango's Keighley place has several weaknesses that have been highlighted in the comments provided. These weaknesses include issues with the quality of the food, long waiting times for delivery, unhelpful and rude behavior from staff members, inconsistency in the menu, and a potentially hazardous slippery floor. It is clear that these weaknesses need to be addressed in order to improve the overall experience and reputation of Mango's Keighley place.
Best TL Reviews
Chips were reheated and rubbery, battered chicken was barely cooked and a medium to hot curry tasted like water with week old chicken. No spice in the slightest. Without a doubt the worst food I've ever eaten from a takeaway in keighley.
Shocking waited over 2 hour for food, the staff lie about where driver is. No wonder they want people to order off there own website. Would of cancelled and got refund otherwise
Absolutely awful service. Was told 20 mins, went to collect after 20 minutes was waiting for an hour. Tried explaining to the gentleman at the till that I am getting late. His response was that if you want them they are there and if you don’t then leave the shop.
After his little outburst he started shouting to his staff sarcastically that this guy is in a rush x3.
To top it off the pizza tasted like cardboard
Really bad service from the guy with a mehraab
Well Mango's, what can I say, waited nearly an hour! Great start lol ???? I just got delivered a 3x pizza deal with Pop. The pop was good, the pizza was like chewing leftover bread in the bread bin, could of done with at least another 10mins. Thanks for the waste of money :)
Ordered from mangos many times its 50/50 depends who's working.
This time I waited an extra hour for the food, starving, experienced with this takeaway I checked it was warm before paying from previous experience, it was stone cold in the bag, so before opened I asked the driver to hold the bags and tell me if it was cold or warm he said cold sorry sir.
I phoned mangos before driver left said I would pay half since its really cold, he said its made fresh pay or we leave, so I said leave.
Honestly can't believe I waited an hour and half in total and was nearly forced to pay full price.
Never again.
Will review again when taken down.
Extremely let down.
Already disappointed in the past and never fails to disappoint.
Cheap and definitely not cheerful.
Worst pizza I've ever tried. Tasted disgusting and wasn't even cooked properly. Won't be ordering from here again.
* The floor is crazy slippery even the waitress mentioned how it was hard to walk on it: Please clear the floor with degreaser before someone gets hurt <3
* The curries are pretty average for Keighley, they reminded us of Eurasia which is nearby. They were sloppy, medium-sized portions mostly filled up with sauce to reduce the cost of goods.
* The starters were very greasy, especially the onion bhajis. The Chicken Pakora had some much grease the chicken slid away from the batter. I imagine this is due to using the same grease to fry as is used to fry the southern fried chicken which has to be at a set temp. Very common to see Takeaways try to do everything and it brings the quality down.
* The sundries all seemed like they had been microwaved(they hadn't but that's how it felt/tasted), the crumb of the bread was really tight and almost soggy in places. I'm assuming no Tandor is available which would elevate the sundry game.
* You can get a curry starter, main but no asian style sweets IE gulubs or jelebi yet you can get English style sweets IE jam rolly-polly. Kinda reflects the inconsistency in the menu / lack of clear vision.
* Service was friendly and prompt but there are some things that could have been better IE more frequent offers of water top up, bringing warm chaps as they run low, ensure tables are clean before customers arrive not once they are sat down, offer plates with food (for those who are sharing).
Negatives:
* Environment.
* Food.
Positives:
* Price point.
* Service(although this is relative to the environment/food).
* Appear to have a waiter who is hard of hearing.
Presentation was okay, service was okay, price point is very fair hence 3 stars.
