Quick Facts About Mandarin Chinese
The comments above provide insight into the strengths and weaknesses of Mandarin, a Chinese takeaway in Leigh. Overall, the strengths of Mandarin can be summarized as follows:
1. Delicious Food: Multiple comments praise the taste and quality of the food, with specific dishes like chicken chow mein, crispy wontons, and special curry being mentioned. This indicates that the Mandarin excels in providing flavorful and satisfying meals.
2. Consistency: Several comments emphasize that the food at Mandarin is consistently good. This suggests that customers can rely on the restaurant to deliver a consistently high-quality dining experience.
3. Friendly and Helpful Staff: One comment mentions the friendly and helpful customer service. This reflects positively on Mandarin's staff, as they create a welcoming and pleasant environment for customers.
4. Established Reputation: A long-time customer mentions having been going to Mandarin for around 30 years, indicating that the restaurant has built a loyal customer base over the years. This suggests that Mandarin has successfully maintained a positive reputation over an extended period.
5. Wide Selection of Chinese and Traditional Foods: A comment highlights that Mandarin offers both traditional Chinese meals and "English chippy foods." This diverse menu selection allows customers to choose from a range of options, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Despite its strengths, Mandarin does have a few weaknesses as indicated by the comments:

Excellent food and excellent staff, best food in leigh.
Special curry, egg fried rice and chips, very tasty. Very happy with the service.
Got a takeaway for me and my wife. Used this place in the past. Thought the food wasn't as good this time. Will try again in future.
I have been going to Mandarin for around 30 years ???? simply the best
One of the best chippys in Leigh, I’ve been going since I was little with my parents, I still go now even though I’m further away. The gravy is the best I’ve tasted, chips are nicely cooked and they’ve got a great selection of traditional Chinese meals and what you’d call English chippy foods. Can’t go wrong with a chippy tea from The Mandarin.
I have been going to this Chinese takeaway for years and my husband's family for even longer. I have tried other Chinese takeaways and restaurants in the area but nothing comes close to the Mandarin. We have tried a variety of dishes and loved them all. I could not pick a favourite dish, they are all lovely. Customer service is friendly and helpful ????
Got a special curry and fried rice on Saturday night, wasn't overly impressed with it, but Sunday I ended up with the s**t's so I definitely won't be going there again...
Love the food. Consistent every time. Very busy, but if you order over the phone you will not have to wait long for your food to be cooked. Really reasonable prices
