Quick Facts About Nergiz
Nergiz Place has several strengths that have been mentioned in the comments. First, customers highlight the complimentary soup that is served upon sitting down. This soup is described as delicious and adds a nice touch to the dining experience. Additionally, the shawarma is praised for being fresh and tasty, especially the chicken shawarma. The hummus is also mentioned as being tasty. Overall, the food is described as good and offers good value for money. The service is also praised for being fast and efficient.
The restaurant is also praised for its nice and clean ambiance. Customers mention that the staff is friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The toilet facilities for both ladies and gentlemen are also mentioned as being good, which adds to the overall positive experience. The restaurant has a good vibe and is recommended for those who have time to dine in.
One of the significant strengths of Nergiz Place is that it is one of the few Halal places in Norwich. This makes it a popular choice for Muslim customers who are looking for Halal food options. The pricing is also mentioned as being well-priced for the serving size. Customers mention that they spent £16 for two people, which is considered reasonable.
Despite its strengths, there are a few weaknesses that have been identified in the comments. One customer mentions that the nan bread was hard and chewy, and the shawarma was a bit bland. However, the blandness of the shawarma was easily remedied by adding some chili sauce. Another customer had a negative experience with the delivery service, where the food arrived flattened and the containers were split open, causing a mess. This customer expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction with the overall experience.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the inconsistency in portion sizes. One customer mentions that the portion sizes could be better, while another customer mentions that the portions have become significantly smaller since the restaurant changed ownership. This inconsistency in portion sizes could be seen as a negative aspect, especially for customers expecting a certain amount of food for the price they pay.
The decor of the restaurant is also mentioned as being shabby. While some customers mention that this does not matter and that the prices reflect the decor, others may see this as a weakness, especially if they prefer a more aesthetically pleasing dining environment.
In conclusion, Nergiz Place has several strengths, including complimentary soup, fresh and tasty shawarma, good value for money, fast service, a welcoming atmosphere, and being one of the few Halal places in Norwich. However, there are also some weaknesses, such as inconsistent portion sizes, bland food, and shabby decor. Overall, it seems that Nergiz Place offers a positive dining experience, but improvements could be made in certain areas to further enhance customer satisfaction.

1st visit and it was a really nice experience we had a lovely complimentary soup on sitting down which was delicious. The shawarma's were really fresh and tasty especially the chicken. Hummus was also tasty, good food and value with fast service! Highly recommended!!
Amazing lentil cream soup they serve you first at the table when you sit down and than the food I had (#8)chicken shawarma with chips n salad. Garlic sauce n chilli sauce with it was just perfect. Definitely dine in for nice experience and very good vibe if you have time. The guys are very nice and helpful. Place is nice and clean. Toilet facilities for both ladies and gents are good. Highly recommend it to everyone!
We ate here today as it is one of the very few Halal places in Norwich and we thought that the food was very well priced for the serving size. We spent £16 including drinks for 2 of us. Overall the food tasted okay, the nan was a bit hard and chewy and the shawarma a little on the bland side but when eaten with some chilli sauce it went down very well. The complimentary soup was also a nice touch.
Used to really love the food here. After tonight I don't think I'll be back. It was an icy night so I can totally understand the delay in delivering to the house but after an hour to be greeted with squished food I feel so upset. The food was literally flattened, the chips soggy and covered in oil, I ordered 2 lamb Tikka, soup and salad. The order was flattened, had 5 pieces of lamb and no salad at all, the containers hadn't been shut correctly so the container of soup was split and open causing a mess to all other containers. I ordered 2 kebab as well and that had this hardened lard/fat stuck on the inside of the carton (photos attached), minimal salad (less than a handful) and was also squished. Ordered another side salad which wasn't included. The naans had been barely wrapped and were soggy. Both sauces hadn't been shut properly. Overall so so disappointed. Not normally one to complain but not happy after a £40 spend. Didn't have a great delivery before this either and this was the second chance delivery wise. Not happy. Did ring the restaurant who would replace but I didn't want to wait another hour as it's already half 8 at night and I couldn't collect.
Absolutely loved the hospitality, tried the chicken biryani and the chicken tikkas - all food is halal and really fresh, portion sizes could be a little better but still a steal deal and they’ve got plenty of options available. Best part? They give free soup too!
Well priced decent food. Everything we ordered was tasty, of a good portion size and cooked fresh. This is one of those places where you go for the food, not the decor, but the tables are clean and the staff are polite. It is what it is, go hungry, enjoy the free soup, and try the biryani. At £4 a portion, it's brilliant!
Used to love this place when it opened. The first 2 owners were really nice and friendly. The food was really good and large portions. With a soup as you sat down.
Went back recently. It's been sold a 3rd time. The portions are tiny. Lady on till was rude. You say the number above on the board above counter. Usually a 7 or 9 for me. When I got to the till I was charged another £3. Won't be going back. Food is not great. Not much meat , salad not crispy looked like it had been there for days. Was really ill next day. Prefer a cafe further up the road.
Such a nice, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Real community vibe. Food is great. Wish they didn't run out of lamb shawarma so often though. Decor shabby but it doesn't matter...prices reflect this and tables are clean ????
