Quick Facts About New Wok

New Wok Place has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers, which can help identify its strengths and weaknesses. In this analysis, we will explore these comments in detail to gain an understanding of what the strengths and weaknesses of New Wok Place are.
Starting with the positive comments, one customer stated that they had their first takeaway from New Wok Place a couple of weeks ago and found it delicious. They were so satisfied with their experience that they declared they won't be going anywhere else for takeaways. This suggests that New Wok Place excels in providing delicious food that meets customer expectations. It is worth noting that this positive feedback was repeated by another customer who expressed that the food tasted good.
However, these positive reviews are offset by several negative comments and criticisms. One customer expressed their disappointment with the service, stating that they tried to place an order but were unable to due to the restaurant not answering their calls or abruptly cutting them off. This is a significant weakness as it indicates a lack of reliable and effective communication with customers, which can result in lost business opportunities. Additionally, the customer mentioned that the website advertises that the restaurant is open, which further highlights the inconsistency between the website and the actual availability of service.
Another customer mentioned that they have eaten at New Wok Place many times but had a horrible experience on their latest visit. They detailed various issues with their order, including rock-hard chips, thick and unpleasant sauce, and soggy rice. This suggests that the quality of the food at New Wok Place can be inconsistent, with the potential for subpar preparation and ingredients. In this specific case, the customer mentioned that they spent £36 and felt that it was wasted, indicating a failure in meeting customer expectations for the price paid.
Some customers also expressed dissatisfaction with the overall experience at New Wok Place. One individual mentioned that the food is only "OK/Good" and not worthy of rave reviews. This suggests that while the food may be satisfactory, it does not excel or stand out compared to other Chinese takeaways in the area. Furthermore, the customer mentioned that only accepting cash for payment is an inconvenience in contemporary times, highlighting a potential weakness in the payment options provided by New Wok Place. Another customer echoed similar sentiments, stating that the service is mediocre and that there are better Chinese takeaways available.
Another significant weakness highlighted by a customer was the poor treatment of staff and potential unethical practices. The customer mentioned that New Wok Place tries to scam their own staff by shortchanging them on wages and delivery charges. They also criticized the cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas, describing it as "horrifically poor condition." These accusations of mistreatment and poor hygiene raise concerns about the ethics and management practices of New Wok Place, which can have a negative impact on its reputation in the long run.
Several customers also expressed dissatisfaction with the accuracy of their orders. One customer stated that they paid but did not receive the items they had ordered, indicating a lack of attention to detail and potential for mistakes in fulfilling orders. Another customer mentioned that the chicken balls were stodgy inside and that the batter on the king prawns was soggy, suggesting inconsistency in the preparation and quality control of the dishes.
Lastly, one customer had a negative experience with both the service and the food. They expressed disappointment with the ill-mannered behavior of a staff member who seemed more interested in their mobile phone than attending to customers. This lack of professionalism and basic courteousness can leave a negative impression on customers and deter them from returning. Furthermore, the customer noted that the food itself was debatable, with chewy beef, hard chicken balls, and overly salty flavors. These quality issues can detract from the overall dining experience and lead to customer dissatisfaction.
In conclusion, the strengths of New Wok Place lie in providing delicious food that satisfies the taste buds of some customers. However, the restaurant is faced with several weaknesses that can potentially harm its reputation and customer base. These weaknesses include poor communication and availability, inconsistent food quality, inconvenient payment options, mediocre service, mistreatment of staff, unhygienic practices, inaccurate order fulfillment, and unprofessional behavior. Addressing these weaknesses is crucial for New Wok Place to improve its customer satisfaction and overall success in the highly competitive Chinese takeaway industry.

Best TL Reviews

Tried to place a order with this place, but when I try to call them they either don't answer phone or they cut you off, would not recommend as they obviously don't want anyone's money as there Web site advertise that they are open
Had my first takeaway from here a couple of weeks ago.. 2nd tonight absolutely delicious. Won't be going anywhere else now.
I have eaten here many times. Only ever had a couple of little issues but today was absolutely horrible.
I don’t see how so many issues can come from one visit.
The 4 portions of chips were all Rock hard
The sauce for the sesame chicken was so thick it was just not nice to chew.
The plain rice Was way to soggy. They clearly took the rice from the centre of the rice cooker! Rice should be taking from the side as it’s dry and fluffy.
Curry sauce was nice as always. Same with chicken balls.
£36 wasted
Sadly I think I won’t return after this experience
The food is OK/Good but nothing to rave about. They only take cash which is a bit of a pain nowadays. The service is mediocre, there are better Chinese take aways in the area.
A poor service and taste experience ever, not treat their staft as a staff, they even try to scam from their own staff for a pot of tiny boil rice For £1, multiple times trying to scam and short count the delivery charges or wages from their own driver, the cleanliness in kitchen and storage is horrifically poor condition.
After all I only can say to every one
The "food" is taste good
Paid but didn't get what ordered, was missing items
Usually my go to chinese havnt ordered here for 8 months last nights chinese came chicken balls were really stodgy inside. Batter was soggy on king prawns in the Hong Kong style dish and also the the sweet and sour sauce in the dish was way to sour and not nice. Very disappointed.
Oh dear, have bought takeaways from here before and they were quite good...
But not this time. Collected the food and was dealt with by a young man behind the counter who was far more interested in his mobile than his customers. Very ill mannered. Please, thank-you, hello and goodbye would be good words for him to learn.
Food was debatable. The rice was OK. Beef was chewy, the chicken in the chicken balls was hard and the meal was very salty. Both of us had upset tummies all night.
Not recommended.
