Great place with really friendly staff. Excellent service, parking at the nearest Asda and great tasty food but pricey. If your wallet can handle it then give it a go.
The place was easy to find as it's on the main road and has one section covered by a pagola/marquee.
We haven't sat inside but we did outside because it was so hot. The seating can be a tiny bit tight and crowded if a busy time but should be to bad once a majority of people leave.
Food was the best but as each tapas that we ordered tasted great.
I recommend the dirty chorizo fries, pattas bravas and fire lit chorizo, which is quite a spectacle to see in front of your table.
The slow roasted lamb and potatoes was quite fatty for me but if you don't mind then eat away. I wouldn't order it again. But the other stuff was great like brownie for dessert.
The only negative was the pricey 3 tapas dishes and tight seating. One side of the table seating can be hit but you can ask, as we did, to have the shade lowered.
7/10 overall for outdoor eating.
Friendly service, generous portions, and absolutely delicious food. I don't remember when I last felt so full and satisfied from a meal. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth paying this place a visit.
Very disappointed with everything. First of all it was very cold even after drinking a pot of tea (I wasn't the only one complaining about it but nothing was done), staff is quite ignorant and awkward around customers. All the waitresses are young and were chatting with each other and the owner at the bar. The only 'dish' that I liked was bread with dips, tapas were weird, presented on large plates that couldn't fit on a table and they didn't come out at the same time as well which was odd, I felt like I got 3 starters. Food is not seasoned at all.
My boyfriend went to the bar to pay and only one waitress was trained to take the payment by card.
I have worked in similarly ran restaurant and can say it's the poor management's fault.
Decent tapas but a few disappointing items such as the patatas bravas, the garlic and tomato bread and chicken ballotine. Everything else though was amazing.
Lovely food and staff, small car park, great setting
We came for an evening meal on Saturday night and were delighted with the overall experience. Nothing was too much for either the lady who seated us or the gentleman who took our order. When the food arrived each dish, in turn, was lovely, with a variety of tastes allowing us to explore and try new and remixed dishes. We tried to decide on a favorite dish but we couldn't they all were superb.
The dessert menu was also lovely and worth a try if you're not full up already.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is great with a nice relaxed vibe complimented by soft Spanish style music, perfect for a relaxing european experience.
As far as things to improve go, there's really not much. my only suggestion might be finger bowls as sharing the food can become a little sticky, this though is nit-picking of the highest order, and purely me finding balance to what deservedly should be a glowing review.
Go for the great paella. It's nice inside, and if the weather is good there are tables outside as well. Parking in the back.
We went here on Saturday night following a recommendation. It was ‘okay’ we had breads and dips to start. The bread had been prepped earlier as the edge of it felt stale in comparison to the fresh side.
I can’t help but comment on the chicken skewers dish that they were identical to the aldi ones even to having the same stick. The skewers on the photos from previous customers are different than these. They also tasted like the aldi ones which put me off the meal.
There were young children running in and out of the kitchen that must have been relatives which I found slightly off putting, we are a kid friendly family but I felt it wasn’t appropriate for young children to be running in and out of the kitchen.
The young staff who served us from the table were polite, well mannered, but spent most of their time chatting at the bar to one another when we were trying to catch their eye to order drinks.
All in all, it was ok alright meal, but not sure we would return based on this experience. It’s a shame as we are local to the area and we have always heard good things about.
