Used to think this place was the best chippy in town, can't believe how much the standards have changed. Mushy peas are different every time, some great some watery and horrible. Very lucky if you don't have to ring about missing items from your order. Some times the chips can be great, other times not cooked properly and oily. Will definitely be looking for a new chippy after using pennington plaice for over 5 yrs every week .
Never had a problem with going here. Food and service is always 5*!
They once even returned some lost property of mine and made up an order that Uber eats failed to deliver. Both of those times where during busy hours too!
Kirkhall Lane chippy might be closer, but worth the extra steps (bit awkward when I have to walk past them again with a bag full of chips)
My daughter uses here regularly. It was my first visit. I had a small fish and chips. It was a good portion and delicious. Definitely going again.
