Quick Facts About Penzance Promenade

Penzance Promenade is highly praised for its stunning views over Mount's Bay. Visitors often comment on the beautiful scenery and the panoramic views it offers. The promenade is also described as being very well renovated, with new benches and chairs for people to sit and enjoy the views.
One of the strengths of Penzance Promenade is its accessibility. Visitors mention that there is easy parking nearby, making it convenient for people to visit. This is particularly important for individuals with mobility issues, as it allows them to have easy access to the promenade. Additionally, the comments mention that it is only a short drive to St Michaels Mount from Penzance Promenade, allowing visitors to explore another interesting attraction in the area.
The promenade itself is described as being very pleasant, with a lovely walk along the sea. Visitors appreciate that there are shops lining the promenade, even though they are set back from the coast. The presence of these shops adds to the overall atmosphere and experience of walking along the promenade. Furthermore, the promenade is quite long, making it ideal for a leisurely stroll.
The cleanliness of Penzance Promenade is also highlighted as a strength. Visitors mention that the promenade is very clean and is adorned with interesting points of interest, such as dancers' steps set into the promenade and huge polished stones. The presence of these features adds a unique touch to the promenade and makes it more appealing to visitors. Additionally, historic features set into the sea wall add to the charm and character of the area.
The promenade is also praised for being family-friendly. Visitors mention that children can ride their bicycles or scooters along the promenade, and there is a nearby play park for them to enjoy. This makes Penzance Promenade a great destination for families, as there are activities for children to engage in while overlooking the beautiful sea views. Additionally, there is a small skate park further away from the promenade, offering additional recreational activities for children and teenagers.
Another strength of Penzance Promenade is the presence of a harbor, cafeterias, and an open-air swimming pool. These amenities provide visitors with options for places to eat and relax, as well as opportunities for swimming and water activities. The presence of these amenities adds to the overall experience and enjoyment of visiting Penzance Promenade.
However, there are also some weaknesses that have been highlighted in the comments. One weakness mentioned is the possibility of contamination in the water. A visitor shares their experience of swimming in contaminated water without any warning signs. They express frustration with the local council's lack of transparency and effective communication regarding water safety. This raises concerns about the health and safety of visitors to the promenade, particularly those who may not be aware of the potential contamination.
In summary, Penzance Promenade has several strengths that make it an attractive destination for visitors. The stunning views, convenient parking, and well-maintained facilities all contribute to its allure. The presence of shops, recreational activities for children, and amenities like cafeterias and an open-air swimming pool further enhance the overall experience. However, the issue of water contamination and the local council's handling of it are weaknesses that need to be addressed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of visitors to Penzance Promenade.

Wunderschöner Blick über die ganze Mount's Bay. Sehr schön renoviert, neue Bänke und Stühle.
Just popped by for a very slow hobble across Penzance Promenade due to dodgy knee. Very picturesque and easy parking near by. A little bracing but it blew the cobwebs away. Then just a short 10 min drive along the coast road to St Michaels Mount which you can see across from Penzance Promenade
A lovely promenade along the sea. There are a few shops lining it, but they are quite set back from the coast. Most of the attraction comes from the walk itself. The beach below is pebbled, so you can walk on it without sandy feet too. It's quite a long promenade, so great for a stroll.
Very clean, interesting points eg dancers steps set into promenade, huge polished stones, historic features set into sea wall. Instructions on plaque demonstrate steps for popular dances - learn to dance on the prom.
Really nice walk. Kids can ride on the bicycle or scooter. There is play park near by, a bit further very small skate park.
A really nice promenade to walk along with a harbor, cafeterias and a great open air swimming pool. It was a rather stormy day as my photographs show.
So whilst this is a very pretty place, it can be contaminated and for some reason local council are very hush hush about it and even when they put warnings out, they are very hard to notice and the system for it is not good enough. I found out I took a swim when it was contaminated and only knew because a stranger told me, no idea how they knew!
Very picturesque and a nice relaxing walk in either direction when the weather is good.
