Quick Facts About Three Kings Inn
The Three Kings Inn has received mostly positive feedback from customers, with particular praise for the polite and non-intrusive service, as well as the delicious food, extensive dessert menu, and wide selection of beers and lagers. The pet-friendly atmosphere is also noted, as well as the overall quaint and charming nature of the place. Customers express their intention to visit again in the future and thank the inn for providing a pleasant evening.
However, there is one comment which highlights a significant issue with the pub. A customer recounts a negative experience where they arrived at the pub during the advertised opening hours, only to find it closed and the staff locking up. The customer argues that such a lack of customer service may be a factor contributing to the closure of pubs. They suggest that the owners should improve their staff's attitude and, if they do need to close early, inform customers in advance to avoid wasted journeys. This comment raises concerns about reliability and the potential to discourage customers from returning.
On the other hand, several positive comments emphasize the efficient and fast service, as well as the delicious food. One customer commends the tomato soup with a homemade mini loaf, while another mentions the ploughman's, which they enjoyed despite some minor shortcomings. The sunny atmosphere is also highlighted as a positive aspect. Overall, these comments contribute to the strengths of the Three Kings Inn regarding its service and food offerings.
Additionally, comments mention the welcoming and friendly nature of the staff, as well as the well-maintained traditional charm of the pub. Customers appreciate the lovely beer garden with its abundance of flowers. The service and food quality are commended, albeit with a mention of slightly higher prices. One customer even expresses gratitude for the kitchen staying open to accommodate them. These comments emphasize the positive customer experience and suggest that the Three Kings Inn excels in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for its visitors.
However, one comment stands out for its glowing review of the sticky toffee pudding, describing it as the best ever. While this highlights a particularly exceptional aspect of the inn, it could also indicate a potential weakness: the inconsistency in food quality. While most customers enjoyed their meals, the comment about the ploughman's and the lack of a homemade coleslaw indicate room for improvement in certain dishes.
In conclusion, the strengths of the Three Kings Inn can be summarized as its polite and non-intrusive service, delicious food with specific mention of the steak and suet pudding, a wide range of desserts and beers/lagers, a quaint and charming atmosphere, a dog-friendly environment, and positive customer experiences. However, weaknesses include a notable incident of the pub being closed during advertised opening hours, inconsistencies in food quality, and slightly higher prices. Addressing these weaknesses would further enhance the overall customer experience and increase the likelihood of repeat visits.
Best TL Reviews
Service polite and non intrusive.
Food spot on with steak cooked to perfection as was my wife's suet pudding.
Good range of desserts and also beers/lagers.
Dog friendly though we left ours at home, others were well behaved.
Definitely be back in the future.
Thanks for a pleasant evening Three Kings!
Wonderful quaint place with amazing tasting food, loved it and will be back again.
Be warned. Having checked the opening times for the pub last Saturday lunchtime, we set off on journey to arrive at 2.15pm, 45 minutes before it was advertised as closing. We arrived at the door to find the staff locking up saying they were closed!
It makes you wonder, when you hear pubs closing, is it because they fail to provide a basic level of customer service like The Three Kings did on Saturday? Being closed when advertised as open is not a positive customer experience and is a slippery slope deterring customers returning.
Some advice for owners of The Three Kings, employ staff that care and if you are going to shut shop early - then at least warn your customers that might happen and advise them to check by ringing in advance before setting off on a wasted journey!
Brilliant service very fast and efficient!
My partner had a lovely tomato ???? soup with a homemade mini loaf.
I had the ploughman's it had some good points and some bad, the two bits of cheese where massive but it just lacked a good bit of pork pie or ham. Also it would benefit from a nice homemade coleslaw. But other then that I was lovely sitting in the sun . Thanks for a nice lunch
Only popped in for a lunchtime drink on Sunday, what a lovely welcome. Proper old world coaching, very well kept. Going to try their food soon
A warm welcome and delicious food from a varied menu. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
Really welcoming friendly people. A pretty beer garden with tons of flowers. Great service and great food, if a little pricey. They kept the kitchen open for us! I would visit again.
Lovely rural pub. Friendly staff. We had lunch here. I had Scampi which was very good. I had Sticky Toffee pudding for my sweet which was to die for. Best ever.
