Bigsby's restaurant at the Plough was amazing. Fine dining makes a nice change for the town. The food was delicious, vegetables that complemented the dishes. Service was really good, all the dishes we had were enjoyed. I had a sushi starter (it was great to see such a thing on a menu as it's something I love but don't see anywhere other than Japanese restaurants). The sea bass was cooked to perfection with sliced vegetables. I had a creme brulee for pudding, which was nice but I especially enjoyed the shortbread biscuits that came with it.
On the expensive side but worked out around £26 per person for 3 courses each. Drinks were pretty average pub prices. Would definitely recommend and will go again.
Visiting family near by and heard about the new restaurant opening "The Vinda Lounge" ... really enjoyed the food- they catered 100% to my dietary requirements and made myself and family really welcome! I ordered the Tarka Daal and chilli chips and my husband had the mixed grill..the place was super clean too. Really cant fault the place! Highly recommend!
It was a nice drive and found this place to have a dinner. Small little place to stop by
Nice pint off Cider.loved the Tractor run x
We had an evening meal here on Saturday as part of a birthday celebration. I found the lamb korma tasty and filling, with a small dish of keema rice and two nan breads to share. We also had poppadoms to begin with and beers/ cider to drink. My daughter had buttered planner curry which she enjoyed. My partner wasn't so keen on his lamb byriani as he thought it should have been drier and there wasn't enough lamb in it. I enjoyed the meal and would possibly visit again .
Brilliant chops and curry sauce or chips with garlic mayo yummy ????
My sister treated myself and four others to a meal here, as she wanted to try it. All the meals looked fantastic, everyone enjoyed what they had. I had the mushroom starter, which was gorgeous, then I had pork for the main (I am very fussy about how meat's cooked) it was cooked to perfection! For dessert I had frangipan, which tasted fantastic too! I certainly recommend Bigsbys, not only is the food tasty, but the staff are polite and friendly too.
This is my local and since they added VindaLounge it's got better. Really nice staff, there's a great beer garden and whilst the range of beers is limited, it's very much like pubs used to be. I also like that the restaurant bit has been turned into an Indian restaurant. The curries are good and having hand pulled beer with them is even better!
