The Royal Oak Place has a number of strengths that make it appealing to customers. Firstly, it is described as a quaint old pub with a lot of history, dating back possibly 300 years. This gives it a unique charm and character that is hard to replicate. The fact that it was built by eye, in a time when craftsmanship and attention to detail were valued, adds to its appeal. Customers appreciate the authenticity and sense of tradition that this brings.
Another strength mentioned is the presence of a singer performing rat pack songs on a Saturday. This adds a lively and enjoyable atmosphere to the pub, creating a memorable experience for customers. It shows that the Royal Oak Place is committed to providing entertainment and variety for its patrons.

Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses that have been mentioned. One customer found the prices to be a bit expensive, particularly during a funeral wake. This suggests that the pub may need to review its pricing strategy to ensure that it remains affordable and accessible to all customers. However, it is also noted that the food was good and fresh, and the staff were pleasant, indicating that these aspects were still satisfactory.
Another comment mentions that the pub was very quiet. While this may be seen as a strength by some customers who prefer a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, it may be a drawback for those seeking a livelier and more social environment. In conclusion, the Royal Oak Place has many strengths that make it an appealing and enjoyable pub. Its historical charm, friendly staff, beautiful beer garden, and high standard of food contribute to its positive reputation.
