Wir waren 4 Nächte in Broomall Castle und sind verlassen das Castle heute mit einem gemischten Gefühl.
Das Castle sieht von außen sehr schick aus und auch die Inneneinrichtung ist okay. Das Zimmer das wir hatten war sehr hoch und im Turm angelegt.
Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und für das Gepäck gibt es einen extra Aufzug.
Das Frühstück ist gar nicht schlecht. Wir hatten erst Sorge von manchen Bewertungen hier.
Aber wer mal eben schnell frühstücken und dann los will das Land erkunden muss hier mehr Zeit einplanen.
Es gibt kein richtiges Buffet wie man es ggf. von anderen Hotels kennt.
Die gewünschten Lebensmittel werden bestellt und frisch zubereitet das dauert je nach Fülle des Frühstücksraums mal länger und mal schneller.
Zum anfangen gibt es 3 Toast in der Mitte geteilt mit ein wenig Butter und Marmelade. Wurst und Käse fehlt im Angebot komplett.
Aber das sehe ich nicht als Kritikpunkt man muss lediglich mehr Zeit zum Frühstück einplanen.
Was uns gestört hat war das heftige Knarzen der Holzböden. Wenn jemand über uns im Zimmer gelaufen ist haben wir das sofort mitbekommen. Meistens wurden wir dadurch geweckt.
Und unsere Matratze war eher ein Trampolin.
Zimmer über booking.com gebucht. Wegen Corona ist kein Aufenthalt möglich (das Hotel ist geschlossen). Das Hotel verweigert eine Rückerstattung oder ein neues Datum mit der Begründung ich hätte ja eine non-refundable Rate gebucht und wäre deshalb selber Schuld. Alle anderen Hotels (und ich hatte im Juni ca. 15 gebucht), SIXT, British Airways, sie alle stornieren kostenlos, erstatten den bereits bezahlten Betrag zurück oder lassen auf ein anderes Datum umbuchen... nicht aber dieses Hotel. Das Beste ist die Aussage, wenn ich nach der CoVid Zeit buchen möchte, können sie mir gerne mit dem Preis etwas entgegen kommen.
Dieses Hotel sollte man meiden, der Kundenservice ist eine absolute Frechheit, als ob ich mir das ausgesucht hätte nicht zu kommen, es ist zwecks Quarantäne einfach NICHT möglich!
Von außen top,aber die Zimmer?
Kein Abfalleimer im Bad,null sichtbare Steckdosen im Zimmer,kein welan Empfang(unten im Hotel schon)die Sauberkeit war auch nicht so toll.
Frühstück war lecker und das Personal sehr nett.
Ich fühlte mich leider nicht so wohl.
Die Zimmer sind für ein 3-Sterne-Hotel meiner Meinung nach adäquat eingerichtet, jedoch sind einige Möbel sehr veraltet. Ich finde, dass die Sauberkeit sehr zu wünschen übrig lässt. Im Zimmer sind tote oder lebendige Insekten (siehe Foto (manachmal muss man zoomen,um es zu sehen)), außerdem sind an unserem Badezimmerfenster, welches nicht zu öffnen war (wir schafften es jedenfalls nicht), einige Spinnweben zu finden. Weiters habe ich über der Dusche einige schwarze Flecken entdeckt, ich glaube dass es Schimmel ist (siehe Foto). Im Zimmer liegen auch offen die Kabel des Fernsehers herum (Foto).
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist meiner Meinung nach sehr, wenn nicht zu klein. Es gibt relativ wenig Auswahl, außerdem finde ich, dass der Frühstücksraum sehr lieblos eingerichtet ist.
Alles in Allem werden wir hier nicht mehr nächtigen, da es, wie ich finde,zu unsauber war.
Mit den Ausgangssperren, sowohl im Heimat- als auch im geplanten Reiseland, ist der geplante Urlaub hinfällig. Ich buchte über booking.com ein nicht-stornierbares Zimmer für eine Nacht und bat aufgrund der derzeitigen Ausnahmesituation um eine kostenfreie Stornierung. Der Besitzer lehnte dies vehement ab und meldet sich seitdem auch nicht mehr.
Andere Unterkünfte handhaben die Situation kulanter und professioneller. Trotz nicht-stornierbaren Zimmern wurden mir die Kosten in 5 anderen Unterkünften ausnahmslos zurückerstattet.
Bei Nachholung der Reise werden wir dieses Hotel in jedem Fall meiden.
Sehr schöne Zimmer, vegane Optionen beim Abendessen möglich. Sehr nettes Personal. Leider war die Matratze komplett durchgelegen (man könnte die Abdrücke vom Lattenrost sogar sehen), Müll wurde vom Vorgänger nicht ausgeleert, die Duscharmaturen waren defekt und das vegane Frühstück war trockenes Toast mit Kaffee (es wurde im voraus abgesprochen, das ein Veganer dabei ist). WLAN nur in der Lobby.
Haben spontan um eine Nacht verlängert. Übernachten im Castle, bei riesigem Zimmer, Badewanne auf Löwenfüßen und super bequemem Bett. Nettes Personal und super Essen. Und das alles in entspannter Atmosphäre. Spitze! :)
Qualität des essens super, Mitarbeiter nicht ganz motiviert. Frühstück sehr spatanisch, kaum Auswahl und kein Nachfüllen von Butter und Marmeladen. Aus spezielle Ernährungseinschränkungen wurde beim Frühstück keine Rücksicht genommen.
