To address these weaknesses, Sandy Lane Fish & Chips place should prioritize improving order accuracy by implementing stronger quality control measures. This could include mandatory double-checking of orders before they are handed to customers and providing apologies and necessary compensations for missing items.
The restaurant should also work on consistently delivering high-quality food by revisiting cooking techniques and ensuring that each dish meets the standards set by the new chef. Consistency and attention to detail are key in creating a positive dining experience for customers.
Regarding portion sizes and pricing, the restaurant should review its menu and consider offering more transparent portion options at different price points. This would allow customers to choose according to their preferences and budget, while still feeling satisfied with their meal.
In terms of marketing, it is essential to ensure that promotional materials accurately represent the actual food and experience at the restaurant. Using genuine images and descriptions will help build trust with customers and manage their expectations correctly.

Yet again have bought meals from this place and the chips for one of the meals was missing along with a tub of peas.
Shouldn't have to check your bag every time you go here to make sure you have all the required items in your meal and if you call up to complain all they do is to say come down and get your missing items, which, if you do makes the part of the meal you have got stone cold by the time you get back home.
The staff were slagging off Mikes chip shop on the High Street but at least when we have been to Mike's they always make sure our order is complete and we've never had to complain or go back for items missing. Given them enough chances but can't afford to eat from them any longer, just paid £6 pound odd just for an omelette, which was very poor and greasy, no chips and no peas.
Really gone down hill. Constantly miss things out of the order and have had to go back countless times to collect things that haven't been put in the bag usually with no apology, this has happened so many times and it happened again tonight, only realised when we got home that I had no chips or peas with my omelette and the omelette itself was greasy and soggy. Very disappointing.
This Chippy has gone from the best in Skem to by far the worst, have given it several chances but no more, will never step foot in this place again
Food not good new owner dosnt care about the place
Probably the worst chips I've ever had. Really soft and greasy. Even 3 others wouldn't eat them. Nasty
Just been to the sandy Lane chippy that's under new management, what a rip off. The food portions are smaller but they are charging the same price. The photo of the fish chips and curry sauce don't even doesn't even come from sandy Lane chipy, a few pot plants in the window doesn't make it taste any better. Don't waste your money.
With the New owner came a New Chef whose food is amazing. The woman who serve are always very pleasant and if you like chop suet rolls, try these homemade ones. Ask for a spicy chop suet roll and if the New Boss has the time she'll make you one. Stunning. I think best Chinese in Skem.
The staff here are nice and helpful. I ask for my fish lightly battered, and so many chip shops nod and say "here's your lightly battered fish" whilst handing me a slab of overcooked rubbery fish, thick with batter.
This place know exactly how to cook the fish. Beautiful, lightly battered, tender, flaky fish, and the chips were really good too.
