Quick Facts About Scoop Ice Cream Cafe
Scoop Ice Cream Cafe has received both positive and negative comments from customers. In order to assess its strengths and weaknesses, these comments will be analyzed.
Starting with the positive comments, some customers have praised the ice cream quality and service. They mention that they have enjoyed the ice cream in the past and found the staff to be friendly. One customer specifically states that it is the best ice cream in town. The positive comments also highlight the taste and quality of certain products, such as scones with clotted cream and jam.
Moving on to the negative comments, customers have expressed their dissatisfaction with various aspects of the cafe. One common complaint is the high price of the ice cream. One customer mentions that they were charged £9 for 6 small scoops of ice cream, with an additional charge for a small empty tub and spoons. This is seen as excessive by the customer and may deter others from visiting. Another customer expresses disappointment in the serving staff, describing them as indifferent, blunt, and lacking manners. This negative attitude may impact the overall customer experience.
Other criticisms involve the physical condition of the cafe. One customer mentions that the wallpaper is peeling off and the ceiling has not been painted for years, giving the impression that the place is run down. The cleanliness of the toilets is also mentioned, with one customer describing them as an "utter disgrace" due to being dirty and lacking soap. This negative perception of the cafe's facilities can significantly impact the overall customer satisfaction.
In addition, there are comments about poor customer service and rude behavior from the staff. One customer describes an incident where they were accused of trying to steal a sachet of salt and pepper and were spoken to rudely and aggressively by an employee. This lack of professionalism and disrespectful attitude can drive customers away and discourage them from returning.
Overall, Scoop Ice Cream Cafe has several strengths, such as good ice cream quality and friendly staff, as noted by some customers. However, weaknesses include high prices, poor customer service, run-down facilities, and cleanliness issues. These weaknesses, if not addressed, can have a negative impact on customer satisfaction and ultimately the success of the business. It is important for the management to take into consideration these feedback and address the issues raised by customers in order to improve the overall experience at Scoop Ice Cream Cafe.

We've been before and enjoyed the icecream and service. However that has clearly changed. £9 for 6 *small* scoops of icecream, extra if you want a small empty tub and spoons. The serving lady was clearly indifferent to her job and was very blunt and lacked manners.
Pity this place has been run into the ground. Wallpaper
peeling off and ceiling has not been painted for years
despite being stained. Toilets are an utter disgrace, dirty, and
no soap. Food reasonable. Needs a total refurbishment.
This has been our go to snack location for about 10 - 15 years. However the quality of the sandwiches and the attitude from the young woman serving wasn't fitting of such a nice place. It's a shame as this time we brought our grandson. 4th generation to visit scoop! Will give them the benefit of doubt, hopefully just a bad day. Will give another chance to regain the stars.
Had a scone with my cup tea best scone I’ve ever had with clotted cream and jam ,best ever would visit again
I work in Golden Square as a store manager and have many times bought my lunch from Scoop to take back to work. Have just been into place an order and was accused of trying to steal a sachet of salt and pepper by the man working there.? !He was rude and aggressive saying " what do you think you are doing ,those are for paying customers you can't just come in and take one!" Well I was a customer and I was about to place an order but I went elsewhere and will continue to do so in future. Disgusting attitude you have lost my custom.
